COVID-19 Curbside Protocol

In the interest of providing superior veterinary care, we will open with a modified curbside protocol. We ask, upon your arrival, you call our main number 617-588-4022 and let us know you are here either ready to come inside or you will be remaining curbside and one of our staff will come get your pet. If you are comfortable entering the hospital, one of our staff will

direct you and your pet immediately to an exam. Per Gov Baker’s order - masks are required by all individuals. We are minimizing our human contact and ask you to remain in your exam room until you are escorted out at the end of your visit. In the interest of keeping everyone safe, we require that you remain 6 feet from staff at all times. In some instances, this may lead us to remove your pet from the exam room for treatments in order to maintain the health and safety of both yourself and our staff. If you wish to remain curbside, we would also be very happy to examine your pet in one of our windowed front rooms. We will be fully decontaminating and rotating exam rooms in between clients and have installed Bipolar Ionization strips in our HVAC system. Please note, this protocol could change in the future dependent on the progression of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pets Vet Friends and Family, just a reminder that we will be closed Friday July 4th, Saturday July 5th, and Sunday July 6th due to the holiday weekend. We will reopen for regular business hours on Monday July 7th at 9am. As always, please reach out to the nearest urgent care or ER for any emergencies or urgent issues. Have a happy fourth!! 🎆

Happy International Women’s Day! Today is a day to take a moment to pause and celebrate the incredible women who shape our workplace and inspire us daily. We have been a woman owned business for 4+ years and we are so lucky to have some amazing women on staff! We are grateful for the hard work and care they put in every day-not just in their roles on the veterinary team but in all areas of life. From Cornell’s Feline Health Center - Recently H5N1 influenza cases have been reported in cats that have consumed contaminated commercial raw food diets, unpasteurized milk, or had contact with wild birds and cattle. Consider discontinuing your pet’s raw diet. Even if their raw food is human grade, frozen, or freeze dried, this does not prevent the potential spread of pathogenic bacteria, parasites, or H5N1 that may be present in the food. Consider cooking your pet’s raw food and/or consulting your veterinarian about diet change.
Limit your pet’s access to wild birds that may be carrying the virus and avoid giving them raw milk.

Halloween is almost here!!! Our staff got in the spirit by decorating some pumpkins for the season. Come by and drop a vote for your favorite pumpkin during regular business hours from 10/25-10/31! All the pumpkins will be up front and numbered until Halloween, and all votes are anonymous, so come on by, fur friends are welcome as always! Happy spooky season! 🎃👻
