Friday feels brought to you by GUS!!! Gus is a happy-go-lucky Bernedoodle who will be turning one year old in February. It has been so much fun watching him grow from the itty bitty bundle of floof he was last summer to the independent “big boy” he is these days doing off leash hikes in the snow and practicing his recall at Blue Hills with his friends! He started out last summer hanging with my amazing part time staff member team for our 6 hour daytime dogsitting program where he became VERY well socialized with all sorts of people (the number of selfies he got to take with my staff members and their friends is simply amazing 🤣) to slowly being socialized with other pups as he built his confidence to being a fully integrated pack member these days. We have seen him grow through so many seasons, stages of his life, and yes, haircuts 🤣🤣. Watching a dog grow up and being able to serve as such an integral part of their “puppyhood” is one of the things I love the most about this job. He may or may not have gone 💩 in my car the first time I ever took him for a car ride and he might win the award for most difficult dog in the pack to get leashed up for walks given his sheer excitement level at pick up (picture the Bernedoodle version of the Tasmanian Devil 🤣🤣), but I wouldn’t trade his hyper, crazy, goofy personality for anything. Happy birthday to this sweet Golden named Winnie who just turned 5 yesterday and who got to celebrate with one of our favorite staff members, @eileenpastyrnak !!! Eileen is dogsitting Winnie this weekend along with her pup Alfie (@bigcitytinyalfie ) and the celebration couldn’t have been more fun — They went on lots of long walks, went to the park where Winnie acted like a puppy running around with Alfie, made homemade pup cups which she and Alfie devoured immediately, played with a birthday balloon and ended their day with a nice sunset walk! Winnie has been in our pack since March and it’s no surprise Eileen went “all out” to celebrate Winnie’s birthday … she is the sweetest girl ever and everyone who has watched her (me, @allie_davis_1 , @thegreenmountainkate ) all absolutely ADORE her!!! Don’t let his short little legs and his aptly named first name (“Snacks”) fool you — This snack lovin’ little guy right here is literally the Rob Gronkowski of the Corgi world!!! Snacks has been in our pack for a few years now and we could literally NEVER get tired of playing fetch with him and watching him beat dogs who are five times bigger than him to the ball … He is SUCH sporty Corgi!!! Happy Tongue Out Tuesday from one of our all-time favorite pack members, Winnie !! Winnie is a 3 year old Border Collie/Aussie mix who has been in our pack since November of 2022. Like pretty much all of our clients, she came to us through a referral (thank you @melheals !!). Winnie is SUCH a sweetheart with all of the other pups in our pack and we look forward to seeing her happy smile with her bubble-gum tongue hanging out each and every time we pick her up for her walks, play sessions and overnight stays. She was one of the first dogs I socialized the CEO Coney (@clap.for.coney ) with and I couldn’t have asked for a better pup to become one of Coney’s first friends (the videos of her helping me with recall training are too stinking cute). Whether she is jumping in my bath tub to hang out while I’m doing my make up, looking up at me with her happy-go-lucky face waiting for me to throw the ball at the park or jumping enthusiastically in the waves at the beach with her friends, Winnie never ceases to put a smile on my face. When you have the perfect cover photo for an Instagram reel to introduce both a new pup AND one of your most amazing part-time staff members, you gotta post it right away! Meet Emma Brodigan (@ebrodigan ) one of our fan-favorite part time employees pictured in the first two photos of this reel (there are also a few other employees and new human friends featured, too!). Emma has been working with us since April and she is originally from Belmont, MA. She graduated in 2022 from Fairfield University with a degree in nursing. She moved to Southie to begin her career as a registered nurse back in September at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on an Intermediate Medicine Unit and she absolutely loves being a nurse. Emma has had dogs her whole life (she even basically had a dog in college too because her roommate got a dog her sophomore year!) and back home her family’s Cavapoo who is *sixteen* years old still greets her like she is a puppy! Now to introduce the REAL star of this reel — RINGO!! Ringo (@ringothegoldpup ) is a happy-go-lucky Goldiva Golden Retriever (@goldiva_goldens )with the best personality you could ask for in a Golden. He is the perfect mix of easy going and playful. He should be a politician the way he pleasantly and politely greets literally anyone and everyone… person or pup! Ringo has MANY past times including (but not limited to!) digging in the sand at the beach, munching on sticks, convincing our staff members to go to Starbucks to spoil him with a pup cup (he is very persuasive 🤣🤣), hunting squirrels, going for car rides to the park, rolling in the grass, taking long afternoon naps, and having at least 2-3 play dates a day with friends (he is one PUPular Golden Retriever!!). Does this crappy weather and it being a Monday just make you feel blahhhh? Well, allow me to introduce you to Beau (our very own rainBEAU 🌈) to brighten your day! Beau is a 6 month old Golden Retriever puppy from Savin Hill who joined our pack back in February! It’s been nothing but fun times ever since. All of our walkers absolutely adore him and it’s easy to see why — he is clearly ADORABLE 😍 He gets along great with all the other dogs in our pack and he is super friendly to everyone he passes by on his walks. He is definitely a retriever and loves to carry a stick or a toy around with him proudly wherever he goes which always cracks us up. He also really enjoys off leash time and running around with other pups big or small, taking long naps with his dogsitters in between walks, going to the beach, looking out the window on neighborhood watch, grocery shopping, and car rides! Tongue Out Tuesday brought to you by the one and only Cheerio! Cheerio has been in our pack since October of 2022 but we have been having so much fun that we are just getting around to posting about him now! (Time truly does fly when you’re having fun 🤩). And we have so many adorable pics of Cheerio that we just had to do a video reel because sharing only 10 pictures simply wasn’t enough!! We first met Cheerio while we were out and about on a play session but quickly learned that he already knew one of our favorite clients, @rideordigan ! Cheerio is a 1.5 year old English Cream Golden Retriever who is SUCH a sweetheart and a total goofball. He loves playing with his friends at the dog park, digging holes in the sand at the beach, one wheeling with Chip, giving his friends puppy kisses, taking long walks at sunset, getting as dirty as fricken possible (the video clip of him sleeping in a pile of dirt from a fallen flower pot is priceless 🤣), playing tug-o-war, distracting his pawrents when they’re trying to work from home, stealing the dish towels from the kitchen to try and get attention, taking long naps on his roof deck after a long day, and getting aaaaalll the belly rubs he possibly can!! #tbt to last summer when Hounds in the Hub took our dogsitting requests to brand new heights when we brought Finley (@finniethedoodle ) to hike Red Hill in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire where Mary grew up! Finley had an absolute blast that weekend hiking, swimming in Lake Winni, and checking out waterfalls with Harley and another doodle and it’s been nothing but fun times ever since. Finley is a Mini Goldendoodle who will be turning 8 in May and who was referred to us by Indy’s awesome Mom, @kaity.farrell ! (Indy is actually his younger sibling from the same breeder). Finley is a very sweet boy who got along so well with Harley and now has the patience of a saint when it comes to dealing with the new CEO Coney’s puppy energy! He loves his outdoor adventures with the pack and is so great with recall. He is such a cuddle bug and the way he sleeps in bed with his head on the pillow like a human is the cutest thing in the whole wide world.
