FYI, please remember a change in your pets diet can cause a stomach issue. That special treat you may want to give can cause a trip to our clinic for a diarrhea treatment. How about a special toy for the holidays instead?

We would like to keep our Saturday hours of 9-noon, however, people are lining up , not at our suggested one hour before opening, but at 6:30 am and sometimes earlier. This would be fine except that dogs have been allowed to bark. Not just a bark here and there but non stop barking. We have had complaints. Today for the first time in the almost 90 years at this location, we were cited for noise. The fines will get larger if it keeps happening. Please, if you are in line and your dog will not stop barking, take a walk with your dog or do something to not wake the neighbors. If you witness an unruly owner , please tell them about this and hopefully they will comply. If this continues we will have to change our hours or close on a Saturday all together. It’s not fair to our wonder, supportive neighbors.

Thank you to Author David Terestre for sending a copy of his book for children. We will display it in our clinic for young readers to enjoy while waiting in the waiting room. David is a long time friend and has memories of coming to our clinic with his own pets when he was a child. David is an accomplished author and is a retired Washington D.C. Capitol Police officer that courageously protected our Capitol on January 6 th,2021. Thank you again David, and it’s an honor to call you our friend!

If you can’t walk barefoot on the pavement the next few days, your dog can’t! Don’t take your dog for a walk in a heatwave!

Please be aware that dogs and cats do not do well in extreme heat! Please do not take them out when the temperature is in the nineties unless you have a way to keep them in air conditioning! Wait until the heatwave they are forecasting is over. Please!
