Scout is stopping by to let Monty (and all our hounds) know that we will be closed on Labor Day , Monday September 2. Our staff will be here with our boarding dogs, but our lobby will be closed along with all daycare and grooming services.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but this one is realllllllly hard. Sarah, we will all miss you so very much. You’ve been a huge part of this family for such a long time, and the love you have shared with the dogs in your care everyday is immeasurable. It’s not going to be the same without you here, but I know this next step is something you have been wanting for a long time, and I’m excited to watch and see what happens. 💥

I’m struggling today. This space has always been about dogs, about posting our furry loved ones to spread joy. But how do I continue to do that when the news is filled with kids my daughters age being shot while in what should be a safe space? Do I continue to post dogs to distract from the news? Do I incorporate politics into our feed? I just don’t know anymore. I do know that my heart is broken, this country is broken, and our kids deserve so much more than what we are giving them. I don’t know how much more my heart can take of this absolute nonsense. Please be patient while I try to navigate and figure out how to best use this platform for not just dogs and happiness, but to make a difference each and every day. The advice of keeping your business account “business only” while dealing with our current issues just seems inappropriate. I welcome any and all advice, especially from all of my mom-owned small business owners that I know are also struggling to make sense of all of this.
