Our Bothell, WA location features luxury boarding accommodations, an interactive and social daycare experience, a spa-like grooming retreat, a retail store, and much more. We were bred from the beginning to be America's best all-inclusive indoor/outdoor dog care facility. The owners of The Dog Stop® spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners, and
planning an all-inclusive facility after they saw a lack of transparency in the industry. Their goal was to create a fun and safe environment where dogs would love to come and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving. Since that day, The Dog Stop’s mission has been to deliver a superior experience for the dogs and their whole families by providing a safe environment, offering educational opportunities, anticipating and exceeding the needs of clients and their pet companions, instilling complete peace of mind for those we serve – and to earn their trust every day! Today, there are over 20 Stops throughout the United States! Each Stop is locally owned and operated, but was bred and trained on the original The Dog Stop morals and mission. The Dog Stop® is here to offer an honest and reliable pet care solution so that you can be the awesome pet parent you need to be!

Reminder ‼️ Our front office will be CLOSED on Labor Day! We will still have staff caring for the pups throughout the day. Our store hours will remain the same Sep 1st and Sep 3rd for drop off and pick up. Thank you and we hope you have an awesome weekend!

"Hi. My name is Ernie. My family has a lot of names for me - Big Ern, Ernie the Bernie, and Ernest. Apparently, I was born with a detached retina in one eye...honestly...I have no idea what that means...All I remember is that I could only ever see out of my right eye.
After a year, I had developed glaucoma and the doctor said I had to get my eye removed. Which is good because all that eye was doing for me was causing me headaches and swelling! I didn't really like that. My mom and dad were so worried to send me into surgery not knowing how I felt, but I did my best to be brave for them. When it was all over my mom and dad were there to pick me up. I was so excited to see them I came bounding out of the doctors office toward them...they knew that they helped me and I was fine!
Turns out life is pretty much the same with one eye. Getting the zoomies in our local park in northern Seattle is the best. Going to dog parks with my friends is still my favorite. Peanut butter kongs are still spectacular. And being lazy on the couch with my parents is better than ever. Happy International Blind Dog Day!" 🦮 ❤️ 💛

Today, we’re raising awareness about keeping our furry friends safe in case of a fire! Here are a few essential tips:
🔴 Create an Escape Plan: Ensure everyone in your home knows how to safely evacuate with pets.
🔴 Practice Drills: Conduct regular fire drills that include your pets so they’re familiar with the routine.
🔴 Pet ID: Make sure your pets are wearing ID tags and are microchipped in case they get lost.
🔴 Keep Leashes Handy: Store leashes near exits to grab quickly if you need to evacuate.

🐾🌞 Summer's here, and it's heating up! Here are some essential tips and tricks to help your dog beat the heat:
💦 Hydration: Always have fresh, cool water available, especially outdoors or after play.
🐕🦺 Limit Exercise: Walk and play in the cooler parts of the day. Protect paws from hot pavement.
🕶️ Shade and Airflow: Create shade with umbrellas or trees. Ensure good ventilation indoors.
🐾 Protect Paws: Avoid hot surfaces, use paw balm, and consider booties.
🚗 Avoid Hot Cars: Never leave your dog in a parked car.
