This is a Sweet Baxter Memory from 12 years ago, July 2013. This picture was taken shortly after Baxter had to have his left eye removed due to complications from Glaucoma. Bax was 8 years old at this time. This strong, loving boy lived to age 16! In the picture, he had one of his toys in front of him.

This is a Baxter Memory from 2007. Baxter was two years old! At that age, Baxter would like to chew everything! That tennis shoe behind him I'm sure was brought there and chewed by this little rascal!

Hi Dad,
I found it — the place you always hoped was real.
It’s called Heaven’s Meadow, and it’s everything you imagined for me.
The grass feels like clouds, the air smells like peace,
and every breeze carries the songs of the hearts who still love us down below.
There’s no pain here.
No goodbyes.
Just soft sunlight and endless space to run.
I chase butterflies, nap under trees that hum with warmth,
and sometimes, when I lift my head, I can see you —
sitting by the window, holding my photo, whispering my name.
That’s when I run faster.
Because every thought you send becomes light here.
And I catch it — like I used to catch toys —
and carry it with me through the fields.
Please don’t worry about me.
I’m safe.
I’m whole.
And I never stopped loving you.
When you dream of me, that’s me visiting.
When you feel peace for no reason, that’s me brushing by.
And when your time comes —
you’ll see me sprinting through the grass,
tail wagging so hard the whole meadow shakes.
