Baxter had a Happy Heavenly 20th Birthday yesterday! Baxter was born on January 13, 2005. Here are some pictures of when Bax was young. Baxter had to overcome a number of hardships in the final two years of his life. But he maintained a happy disposition and valiantly carried on! He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 20, 2021, at age 16. Thanks to Carol Gendzwil Niszczak Cason who posted:

Baxter and I make a cameo appearance at 38 seconds into this video. TOMMY JAMES- "DRAGGIN THE LINE" peaked at the #4 spot in 1971 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. "Draggin' the Line" was first released as the B side of "Church Street Soul Revival" in 1970. The song was judged to have some hit potential so they went back in the studio and added horns to the master and re-released it as an A side single in 1971. This song was on the 1971 album "Christian of the World". The LP produced three hit singles "Adrienne", "Church Street Soul Revival" (A song Tommy originally wrote and produced for the group EXILE, released on Columbia Records) and the monster "Draggin' the Line"." Happy Heavenly 20th Birthday to Baxter who was born on this day, January 13, in 2005. Here is another sweet picture of Baxter! Baxter lived a joyful 16 years of life (January 13, 2005- January 20, 2021) full of treats, walks, runs, and love. He loved everyone and spread his love around everywhere he went! Bax, I will see again one fine day in Heaven!

This Baxter Memory is from December 19, 2019. I wrote: "Baxter is tired tonight. It's been raining all day, and he doesn't like it when it rains hard. We haven't been out walking as much as usual today."

This Baxter Video Memory is from March 3, 2020. We are on another walk! At this time Bax was 15 years old. Wow, I knew I had a lot of videos of Baxter but....when I searched for this video, I found that I had 31 videos of Baxter in the month of March 2020 alone!

Here's a very cute picture of Baxter from 2012. Bax would put his paw on my arm to tell me he wanted to go for a walk or wanted a treat! In the picture, you can see that his left eye was cloudy and swollen. Bax developed glaucoma in his eye and had to have that eye removed in 2013 because of complications in the eye. The pressure from the glaucoma would cause him to have headaches. In 2012, Bax was 7 years old.

This Baxter Video Memory is from June 5, 2019, which was 4 months after he was attacked by a dog. I really miss my loving friend Baxter who went through so many hardships in his last 2 years of life. In those 2 years, Baxter got attacked by a dog, was diagnosed with cancer, had two vestibular episodes, and endured many Vet visits and treatments. But through it all, Bax carried on and loved his life! But he couldn't beat cancer. On December 31, 2020, Baxter was scheduled for euthanasia because of aggressive cancer. On December 2, 2020, he lost his second eye because melanoma was invading his eye socket. I decided to put off euthanasia because his cancer Vet thought the cancer was not spreading that fast. It seemed like he knew he was given more life by how many times he did his happy "Baxter Beagle Wiggle" after euthanasia had been canceled! In the end, Bax was fighting cancer, he now was blind, and he just experienced a seizure. I didn't want my friend to suffer anymore. The sweet boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 20, 2021, at age 16! BAXTER THE BEAGLE - REST IN PEACE BAXTER (JAN. 13, 2005- JAN. 20, 2021)

This video is from January 3, 2020. Baxter is in the bathroom with his friend Duchess the cat. At that time Bax was 10 days from being 15 years old. Little Baxter passed on to the Rainbow Bridge on January 20, 2021, he had turned 16 on January 13, 2021. He has been my friend for 16 years. This Baxter Memory Video is from February 14, 2020. Baxter gave his classic "Baxter Beagle Wiggle" as he returned from his appointment. On that day I wrote this: "This is a cute video of Baxter coming out after his test. Today, Baxter visited the Veterinary Specialty Center. A week ago, the vet prescribed a new pill to replace one that he has been taking for months. He has been having trouble with some protein leaking into his urine. Today he was scheduled to have blood work done and a urinalysis test to see if the new pill is working to help him in that regard. I will receive his blood work results by email in a day or two. Unfortunately, they couldn't perform the urine test because Baxter had peed before we went in and he didn't have enough for the test! That never happened before any test before! They gave me a cup and asked me to obtain a sample for a test in a week!" I miss you Baxter and love you!!!
