🐾 It's National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week! 🐾

This week, join us in celebrating the vital role that animal shelters play in our communities. Shelters provide safe havens for animals, offer critical services like reuniting lost pets with their families, and help reduce overpopulation through spay/neuter programs. Did you know there are around 3,500 shelters across the U.S., but only about half of the 6–8 million homeless animals find homes each year?

Many county residents don't realize the services the AS&C provides. Rescuing lost and found pets is one of them.

If someone lost or finds a dog or cat we can try to help find owners before they are taken to adjoining county shelters.

The AS&C has two chip readers and if a foster home is available, we can hold on to pet till owner is found.

Storm, Female border Collie mix has been found running down I-15 by rest area looking for her owner.

She is safe but we need to find her owner. She is wearing a collar with name of STORM but no contact number.
