I also work with small animals rescues for fundraising so please email me if you are interested. Squiggly Pigs has handmade items for guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, rats, chinchillas, and other small animals! Last night we said goodbye to our last piggy, Meep (or as we called her, Bean). She was almost 6 years old and passed away suddenly in her bed without any signs of sickness. I had Bean for basically her entire life, as she was born in the animal shelter I used to work for. She was the happiest girl, even up until the end… wheeking for her veggies even though her voice was almost entirely gone in her old age. I’ll miss you, sweet girl. I’m a little in shock that we no longer have any guinea pigs after all these years and I will miss their happy faces greeting me every morning. 💛

Back at the sewing machine! Here are some custom orders I did this past week (my dog, Finn, wanted to be included in the photo 😆). Custom orders are currently by request only. I’m hoping to make more items in the coming weeks and I also have some big life updates to share soon!

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Applesauce yesterday. I found a large amount of blood in her cage and brought her to the vet to see what was wrong. It turns out she had a tumor that was larger than the size of her head right in the middle of her reproductive system, causing her uterus to bleed. There was no treatment or surgery that could be done at this point, so we opted to end her pain. It’s so hard to not see her trying to climb the cage and wheeking for food and when I walk in the door. We only had Apple for a year and she was mistreated in her previous home, so it took lots of patience and veggies to win her over. But she got very trusting of me and loved head pets and nibbling on my socks while I cleaned the cage. I’m so glad that you were able to spend the last year of your life with us, sweet girl. Thank you for being a light in my life. ❤️

Long time, no see! 😄 I finally will have more time on my hands this week to post more items to our Etsy shop! I know lots of you have reached out and I appreciate your patience. This week I am focusing on making cage liners, most of which will be the size for Midwest cages. Stay tuned! For those waiting on cozy beds, I plan on posting more of them next week. 🥳 I’m excited to be back at the sewing machine!

Hi guys! 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’ve been a bit MIA lately on here. I’ve been busy studying for my final exam to become a certified dog trainer and great news: I passed! Lots of exciting things to come this year I hope. Pictured is me and my little Ewok dog, Finn. 🥰 I’m in the process of booting my Etsy store back up and have some fun new items you’ll see soon! Thanks for hanging around with me when life gets busy. I’m looking forward to having more time on my hands now that I’m done with school 😄
