National VFR Day β For those who run toward danger, we offer a place to stand still.
Today, we're honoring the men and women who run toward danger so the rest of us don't have to.
At Gifted Herd, veterans and first responders aren't just who we serve β they're why we exist. Our horses show up for them the same way they've shown up for all of us: steady, present, and without judgment.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
π Equine partnership sessions β no riding required. Just presence, trust, and the kind of nervous-system regulation that's hard to find anywhere else.
π Trauma-informed support for processing what words alone can't always reach.
π A herd that doesn't ask you to explain yourself β horses read energy, not resumes. They meet you exactly where you are.
Every one of our facilitators is experienced in trauma-informed equine-assisted work, so our sessions are grounded, safe, and built specifically for the nervous systems of people who've carried a lot.
Some wounds don't have words. Horses don't need them.
If you're a veteran or first responder (or you know one) who could use a place to just be for a while β we're here. π
