Welcome Bear for off-leash training!! Bear is a regular at WWDT and we are so excited to further his skills this month. He’ll be doing lots of fun things as his training progresses! 🐻

Sweet Samantha is back for a little BNT to progress her training! Now that she’s not such a young pup, she’s ready for some more adult expectations in her leash and house manners, heel, place, and a nice down-stay. Good girl Sam!

We are starting off 2024 with some AWESOME pups, couldn’t ask for a better start to the New Year! Welcome Ace, a sweet but anxious lab mix who will be with us for 3 weeks 😁 Ace has a wonderfully goofy personality but also suffers from some separation and general anxiety. We will be working on handling, crate and separation anxiety, some reactivity, and general good boy manners. We look forward to getting to know him better!

Welcome back Dexter! Dex is a super sweet Idaho S**g mix (we think). His owner has already put in a TON of work through private lessons and he is just staying with us to introduce an e-collar foundation. We are hitting the ground running thanks to all of Carroll’s hard work!

Welcome Po!!! We are so excited to have Po stay with us for a 5-week Off-Leash program including working on some behavioral issues. Po struggles with resource guarding, in addition to being a confident guy who tends to mark indoors. We are pretty sure he has some French Bulldog as well as that obvious English face! Such a fun little guy who is ready to learn some boundaries 🐾

Bowie! 🐾 This huge puppy is learning a lot during his stay and having plenty of fun new experiences! He’s only 7 months old but he is so smart, likes to work, and is super sweet 🍭 we’ll be focusing on manners in and out of the home, yard and play manners, and some confidence building in public spaces. Good boy Bowie!

It’s interesting having a rotating semi-permanent pack member, first we had .the.protector and now we have WWDT Niko! It certainly keeps the rest of us on our toes, and pack social skills on point! The WWDT pack is a crucial part of the business, and they all have individual strengths that benefit our clients! How cool is that 🤓

Welcome Chicharrón! Chich is a super fun 8-month-old Rottweiler mix, here for some manners! He’s a bit of a rowdy pup, but has a great work ethic and stellar personality. 🐶 And look at that sweet face! We look forward to getting to know him better ❤️

What does it take to hike dogs off-leash? Check out the last slide for a picture of almost everything I took with me to hike these guys. With this many dogs, I pick an area where I’m unlikely to encounter anyone else. I also set myself up to scare off any wildlife we may encounter, and I still ensure that all dogs have a great recall or are on a long line.

Charlie and Mimi are back for some more training! These two have matured since we saw them last and are ready for some more adult expectations, and they’re both crushing it! We are always working on a healthy separation and confidence away from each other, in addition to being able to focus and heel when they’re together! Good pups!

It’s time to formally introduce WWDT foster dog Niko! Niko (formerly Rusty) is a one-year-old intact male Siberian husky. He has only been with us a few days, and his current temperament is sweet but easily overwhelmed. He’s a very cute little guy and I can’t wait to see the progress we make in building his confidence, strengthening his relationship with his handler, and we will be taking him through a complete on- and off-leash obedience program before he is sent off to a permanent home. We will announce when he is ready for adoption, as we are currently not taking any applications for Niko until we have a better idea of his ideal home and a handle on his behavior. We will also be introducing Niko to all sorts of fun husky activities including biking, running on the mill, off-leash hiking, and more! Welcome Sam!! What a fantastic little puppy this girl is ❤️ follow along to see how much fun we have over the next 10 days! Sam is doing some preliminary puppy training to prep her for adult training in a few months. Such a sweet girl, with a dedicated owner who is going to make sure she’s the best dog around! These dogs are a lot of work and not for the faint of heart, she’s one lucky girl!
