We are hiring a Veterinary Receptionist
A receptionist provides customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handle payments. Answer phone calls, which may involve answering questions and screening and scheduling appointments. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email. Update and file patient charts.
Enter data into a computerized billing program. Process credit card payments. Retrieve prescriptions. Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room, patient rooms, and front office area.
In addition of providing excellent customer service to clients and ensuring that front desk operations run smoothly, the receptionist acts as the primary greeter when a client enters the waiting room with their pet, alerts the appropriate technician or veterinarian of the client’s arrival, and processes the client’s payment at the conclusion of the appointment.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills to be able to speak with pet owners and update patient files. They must have an understanding of animal behavior and strong clinical skills in order to properly communicate with owners. They must be detail-oriented and well-organized so that they may take medical histories, carry out instructions, document patient statistics, scheduling emergencies, surgeries and normal appointments, and update records.
