We are seeking a part-time caregiver for our feline residents. The scheduled hours are 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. The selected candidate will be required to complete 10 hours of volunteer service at New Beginnings. The requirements for this position include being at least 18 years of age, able to lift 40 pounds, possessing a valid driver’s license, and having a reliable vehicle. Additional responsibilities comprise of mopping, sweeping, scooping litter boxes, washing dishes, laundry, feeding and watering cats, and transporting cats to veterinary appointments. Join our dedicated team and become a vital part of transforming the lives of cats in need. By contributing your time to tasks such as cleaning litter boxes, washing dishes, doing laundry, sweeping and mopping floors, and feeding our feline friends, you'll be instrumental in creating a safe and nurturing environment. We're especially eager for volunteers on Mondays and Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Hi, again! Very recently we had one of our staff members have a medical emergency, so they will have to be off work for an unknown period of time.
Therefore, we are asking for anyone who would be willing to come volunteer any day during the week, including weekends, even for just a couple hours a day. We are looking for people who can do the following: fill the kitties' water and food dishes, scoop a few litter boxes, fold laundry, etc.
If you think you might be able to donate some time, please feel free to send us a message and we can let you know the times that we need help the most each day. Beans and Bandit really appreciate any help that you can give us during this time! All of our kitties will pay you in snuggles and hugs! 😻

Hi! Beginning this Monday, August 25th, we will be closed on Mondays. We will still continue to be open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We apologized for any inconvenience this may cause, but we look forward to seeing you on the other days that we are open!

CATIO UPDATE: On Friday, the catio was finished and we finally got to see the leukemia kitties enjoy a taste of the outdoors! 🌞
They absolutely loved it! They have spent a good part of the weekend, despite the heat, in the catio. (We did make them come in during the hottest part of the day).
We cannot thank you enough for your support! Seeing their joy (and curiosity), being outside for the first time, was priceless and something we will never forget! ☺️
PS... The kitties have a cat door that allows them to go in and out as they please. However, we do keep them indoors overnight and in really hot weather.

Hi! We just wanted to give everyone a sneak preview on our new catio, which will be enjoyed by our leukemia positive kitties! It has been a long time dream of ours to allow our leukemia positive kitties to soak up the sun in a safe environment, and soon they will get to do just that! 🌞
Please stay tuned for an update when it's finished and pictures of the kitties enjoying it!

Hi! Just a reminder that we are having a fundraiser for the kitties tonight, Tuesday, July 29 from 3 - 10 pm at Texas Roadhouse in Bradley. 🍴
Instead of cooking on such a hot day, come out and enjoy a meal - a portion of each sale will be donated to our shelter! (In addition, we will have some great raffle baskets). 😺
With so many cats in our care, we will use the donations towards food, litter, and medical expenses. As always, we thank you for all of the support you give us throughout the year!

Jesse and Elsie, two of our leukemia positive kitties, would like to interrupt your Facebook scrolling to ask a simple question: Do you like to have a night off from cooking? Well, if so, they would like to invite you to our shelter fundraiser at TEXAS ROADHOUSE in Bradley. It will be held this coming TUESDAY, JULY 29th, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

All you have to do is show this flyer on your phone or mention that you are there for our fundraiser and a portion of your dinner sale will be donated to our shelter! And with over 100 kitties in our care, every donation matters and is truly appreciated! 💕

We will also have some raffle baskets at this event. We hope to see you there! And as always, we thank you for all of your kindness and support! 😺

(Jesse and Elsie regret to inform you that they will not be in attendance at this event, as they will be snuggling together at the shelter!) 😻

We would like to give a big thank you to Camp Mosh, from Maternity BVM Church, for spending a very hot morning with us! This wonderful and amazing crew cleaned off our shelter roof and our catio roofs. They also cleaned our outside catios, did a little painting and some much needed weeding! And, of course, they gave our kitties lots of love! 😻

Thank you so much for giving your time to help spruce our place up! And thank you for showing all of our kitties kindness and love! 🥰

The staff and volunteers at New Beginnings for Cats extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Dale, who was the office manager at Bradley Animal Hospital (our wonderful vet clinic) for the past 40 years.
Whenever we brought our shelter kitties to the vet, Dale was always there to greet us, ask how our kitties were doing, and have good conversations with us. She adopted her beloved black kitty from us and gave her so much love! Dale was the heart of the vet clinic and we will all miss her very much.🩷
We would like to sincerely thank Dale's family for choosing our shelter as the recipient of memorial contributions in Dale's honor. We are very humbled by this act of kindness and generosity.
