With great sadness and after much deliberation, I have reached the difficult decision that I will no longer be offering Pet Sitting as a service--for cats or dogs. I have always said that the best way I can describe being a pet sitter is giving up your life so that other people can enjoy theirs, and that couldn't be more accurate.

It has truly been a pleasure and very rewarding feeling to be able to take care of your pet's when you can't be there but it is also extremely demanding to be working every weekend, holiday, and spare moment around the rest of my schedule.

I am SO grateful for the relationships I have developed with you and your pets and will have a difficult time leaving. All bookings through 7/31 will be honored but I will not be accepting any new requests during this time.

I know this will be disappointing news for many but thank you so much for understanding this decision.

Please keep pets inside, you do NOT want them going missing in all this, it's terrifying enough for them in the comfort of their own home.
Also consider the location of outdoor wildlife if you must participate in fireworks. It's absolutely heartbreaking if you've ever watched the reaction of deer, birds, etc.😥

One of my favorite and most rewarding accomplishments is succeeding in having notoriously shy cats warm up to me and feel comfortable.

Fortunately, it usually doesn't take long, but I visited Mickey & Minnie for about 2 weeks with no luck, they weren't comfortable coming out of their 'safe spots' to see me...until now! Something made Mickey decide to give me a chance and now he can't get enough love. Minnie is still pretty shy but she allowed me to pet her for the first time also.

For a little over a year, I've walked Buddy every day while his mom was unable to.
The great news is she's better now and able to walk Buddy on her own again. The sad news is we had a sad goodbye today 😢
So grateful for all of the wonderful pets (and people!) I get to meet through this experience.
