Flint:
With over 20 years of experience managing and riding top caliber competition horses, Amanda brings the highest standards of coaching and training. After obtaining her Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois, Amanda worked and rode for equestrian luminaries Katie Monahan Prudent, Laura Kraut, Todd Minikus and Peter Leone. In 2000 Amanda spent the year in Europe preparing horses with Nelson Pessoa and maintaining the Saudi Arabian team horses at the Sydney Olympic Games. Amanda is equally expert in preparing horses and riders for the hunter and equitation arenas. Her students have competed successfully from short stirrup to Grand Prix. She has achieved particular success with her clients in the Junior Jumpers, Big Eq finals, Young Riders, Pony Finals and Adult Equitation. With her special talent at developing young horses, Amanda has won the 4 Year Old, 5 Year Old and 6 Year Old Young Jumper Championships with horses that she broke and trained. After ranking 9th in the 2007 American Grand Prix Association Rookie of the Year Standings, Amanda has won at the Grand Prix level with a prospect she developed. Her 2010 win of the 6 Year Old YJC Midwestern Finals with Superbad was highlighted in the October 15, 2010 issue of The Chronicle of the Horse. In 2011 Amanda's winning ride on Texas Hold 'Em in the HITS Ocala $10,000 Friday Prix on February 25, 2011 was featured on PhelpsSports.com. Other highlights include a 2nd in the 2011 Vermont Grand Prix with Superbad. During the 2012 winter circuit Amanda has won the HITS Ocala Brookledge Welcome Stake and placed 2nd and 6th in the Atlanta Grand Prix.

Highlights from the weekend at Venice at Fox Lea Farm… Silver Springs Farm had all 3 horses in the top 6 of Saturday’s National Hunter Derby! Just a point between 2nd and 5th. The 5 yr old
jumpers all made their 1.20 debut with Shannon Kelly’s Mad Money TW taking the win. Kimberly Maloomian and KC were champion and reserve in the amateur hunters, and Dina Mazzola’s Xztra SK made his show debut ending up reserve champion.

Tryon finished the way it started - with Wittinger VDL and Irvington VDL earning 2nd and 9th in the Sunday GP, Hilton, Guru, and Snowed In all finishing in the top 3 of the A/o hunters, as well as For Verina and For Ami jumping spectacular in their divisions. Thank you Mandy Patterson for hour help this week Back in a couple weeks!

Baltimore VDL was clean again in the Welcome Prix! He is available to be tried in Colorado and Sonoma. Fantastic Young Riders horse.

We went a careful clean for Baltimore VDL to be 2nd in the $60,000 Grand Prix tonight! VDL Wittinger jumped a fantastic round with a cheap rail coming down late in the track. Fernando J was reserve champion 1.40-1.45 jumpers, Diamaro VDL jumped consistent clean rounds in the 1.20s and Sonja Pollack’s Hudson VDL continued to jump with top ribbons in the 1.30s and 6/7 yr jumpers

Congratulations to everyone the first few weeks in Wellington! Mara and Quixotic Z have won three classes so far, Deb Imperatore started off right by winning with her new horse Caruso, Sonja Pollack and White Chocolate were 2nd and consistent every time out, Mike Ziebarth and Clifton won their first classic ribbon together , Lauren Lindner and Nazario were 2nd in their classic, and Parker Wright catch rode VDL Inka's Boy to win the Medal today.
