I'm extremely blessed and so very proud of myself and my accomplishments.

Who would've thought I'd be invited to speak at a university of collegiate students.

I believe in education and learning is infinite.

Thank you for allowing me to share why soil health is important to me as an urban familystead.

The transition in environment proved why soil health is essential as my new home in ground soil produced pests I haven't had the opportunity to experience at my old house.

Here are my slides from the panel at University of Maryland Eastern Shore Food Science Building.

Thank you and
for the opportunities.

I'm so excited for what the future holds for multi generational regenerative and sustainable farming.

Selana & Brownie started laying again at the beginning of January.

I'm so excited to be expanding our laying hens to produce more pasture raised eggs and chicken manure.

Dreaming about these things as a young child not realizing you would actually be doing these things is the biggest blessing.

Now the work is not easy but I absolutely love doing it each and every day.

Today's Volunteer Service Hours was a success.

We had 3 wonderful gentleman come out for some winter sweat equity moving woodchips and building raised beds.

I'm thankful for their parents and their willingness to be ok with manual labor and craftsman work.

They did a great job mastering teamwork as they built this bed on their own.

It's a true blessing ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

Bonus they got to touch a hen for the 1st time ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sweat Equity:

Sweat equity at STRIB Flowers and Herbs Ancestral Farm provides a range of benefits, both personal and community-oriented.

Skill Development โ€“ Participants gain hands-on experience in farming, herbal medicine, and sustainable agriculture, learning valuable skills in planting, harvesting, and land stewardship.

Health and Well-Being โ€“ Working outdoors in nature promotes physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional well-being while reducing stress.

Community Connection โ€“ Engaging in sweat equity fosters relationships with like-minded individuals, strengthening community bonds and cultural heritage.

Access to Fresh Produce โ€“ Contributors may receive fresh herbs, flowers, or farm products in exchange for their labor, supporting healthier eating habits.

Cultural and Ancestral Knowledge โ€“ Our farm emphasizes traditional and ancestral farming techniques, helping preserve cultural wisdom and regenerative agricultural practices.

Economic and Entrepreneurial Opportunities โ€“ Learning about farming and herbalism can open doors to entrepreneurial ventures, such as selling herbs, flowers, or natural products as I do.

Environmental Impact โ€“ Supporting sustainable and organic farming practices contributes to soil health, biodiversity, and ecological balance.

We are giving back to the land and reaping the benefits in being 1 with nature.

2 years ago I started this go fund me believing individuals who know me would support our family in our homesteading journey.

At that time we were still living in our rented townhouse and been wanting to purchase in a rural area.

No one but me donated and I only donated to see if it was working because I've received absolutely nothing from anyone.

Since then we have moved to our 1st home in the suburbs and began our homestead.

Using the grant money I received from last December I was able to get started with what was needed to build up the garden areas and hen house.

The year we moved I also was awarded a 20k grant from but lost it 2 weeks after being notified of winning because we relocated to another city. I also closed my daycare due to an injury and lost that income as well.

It's been a year for sure but I still got quite a lot done with little to no income.

Since it's gotten cold outside we've lost 2 of our 4 hens because my set up clearly isn't secure enough for them.

So here I am posting this go fund me asking to support the supplies needed for our farm familystead.

๐Ÿ–‡ is in my bio and story.

Happy Holidays and thank to all who care enough to share the capital love.

Can't you feel it in the air!

Planting season is upon us.

What are you doing now to prepare?

We're prepping for herbs, lettuce and maybe some spinach but the main work it going on outside.

Sorting the wood woodchips and getting the beds finished off for a greater harvest this year.

Moving presents some challenges but how can we grow if we stayed where we were.

Blessings and discipline have provided the way!

One day at a time at

Our basil did not disappoint last season and they will be flourishing again for you'll this season.

Thank you Creator for warming this day to allow me time to work on this wood chip load!

I was able to clear around our downspout because it was buried under these wood chips.

Also opened up a pathway to the sidewalk for the kids to gain access to the trash and recycling bins.

Praying for more warmth, it's much work to be done to prepare for my biochar and soil drops.

The air was so fresh and nice to breath in and out while getting some much needed physical activity to my body.
