The joy 😊 that comes with picking a fresh regeneratively grown cherry tomato.

Yes the littles help sow, care for and harvest.

We begin early sharing the love of being a steward to the land.

I'll have 2 to 4 slots available for spring break.

Email: [email protected] if this sounds like something you'd love for your little ones to experience.

Hi I'm LaWann Stribling, wife and mom to 6. We'd love your support of our Family Urban Farmer Dream! Your donation will help us acquire essential supplies to grow our Homestead.

Survive & Thrive has been my mission since becoming homeless on my 17th birthday.

It's been 32 years since that day I had to make the biggest decision of my life.

Do I give up?

Or

Do I survive to thrive?

I survived to be here for you to see this message today.

Thriving didn't come for many, many, many years later.

This was work, this was me healing my traumas to create a better future. I'm living proof that accepting and dealing with your own mess is rewarding in the long run.

Do the work, heal your traumas and do what you love.

This is and I didn't understand what that meant until I was in my 30s. I love being honest with myself. It ain't all peaches and cream but it's real.

Our children and myself have grown fond of growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants and herbs that we started the spring of 2020 as a family COVID-19 Quarantine Project. The past 5 years we've harvested peppers, jalapeños, corn, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, green beans, sage, rosemary, pumpkins, zinnias, sunflower, collards, lettuce, lemon thyme, chocolate mint, lemon balm, lavender, mullein, and dandelion. My husband has enjoyed learning and lavishing in the farm to table meals he's enjoyed.

Our donations page is in my bio!

Your assistance helps feed our livestock and more.

Thank you in advance

It's a snowy Sunday and I'll be at home after I grab these turkey wings from the grocery store.

So sad that I can't be .and.forth today

My garden is resting and I'm resting as well.

Be safe if you're out traveling today.

I'm crushing hard on myself for overcoming so much and breaking through my traumas with therapy.

I know it's still taboo to many but as my testimony I have to share that jumping into my fears have awarded me so much positively in life. I had to quiet the noise to really hear what needed to be heard.

It was and

The journey to this knowledge has been a lifelong passion realizing how much joy digging for worms and potato bugs as a young child.

Realizing the importance of soil health and your body helped encourage me to write this published article What's In Your Soil April 2024.

Let's recognize the beauty in all things provided by creation by reading and studying nature.

Our house plants are flourishing!

As a licensed home daycare provider I had to pause on house plants due to the littles in care and some leaves being toxic. I really missed my plants over that 10 years period but we still had outside gardens to enjoy.

The purple orchid is in its 5th year of blooms and she's the only house plant I had at our townhouse before moving. She was also a gift from a dear neighbor in Greenbelt.

Slowly I began collecting more plants since moving here and my husband gifted me another orchid as well.

The babies on the window pane are 2 years into their space.

My bird of paradise is taking off, her second year here.

I picked up a fiddle leaf this spring at one of my favorite stores and I forgot the name of the other plant to the left 😆

My old neighbor gifted me a Cuban oregano plant this summer so she's in the house for the cool weather months.

A few weeks ago I transplanted the real mini banana trees and hibiscus plant along with testing out over wintering 2 pepper plants to bring inside for the winter. I need to dig up those geraniums as well but I haven't 🤷🏿‍♀️

We have small plants growing in our dining area as well.

I snapped this photo after I moved my plants to make way for this tree we gotta set up.

I can't wait to have a full nursery in our home!

What's your favorite houseplant?

STRIB'ble District LLC®️:

Preparing for Future Generations

STRIB'ble District LLC focuses on sustainability, community development, and empowering future generations through self-sufficient living models.

Our initiatives emphasize:

Cottage Homesteading:

Self-Sufficiency: Encouraging small-scale homesteading provides families with the skills to grow their own food, reduce waste, and rely less on external systems.

Education & Skills Training: Offering workshops or programs on sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and food preservation.

Community Resilience: Building local networks where resources and knowledge are shared, enhancing overall preparedness for economic or environmental challenges.

Future-Centric Development:

STRIB'ble District emphasizes preparing youth and families for uncertainties, such as climate change, food insecurity, and economic fluctuations. We promote a lifestyle that aligns with nature, ensuring future generations inherit a more sustainable world.

Alignment with Cottage Homesteading Vision, have you watched
The Grab (by investigative journalist Nathan Halverson)? It explores how global powers and corporations are acquiring vast amounts of farmland and water resources to control food production, potentially leading to widespread exploitation and shortages. Key themes include:

Resource Control: The documentary exposes the risks of allowing private or foreign interests to dominate essential resources, echoing the need for localized, independent food systems.

Food Sovereignty: Reinforces STRIB'ble District's emphasis on community-centered homesteading as a defense against global monopolization of food/herbs and water.

Resilience & Independence: Advocates for small-scale, regenerative agriculture, aligning with cottage homesteading principles, which ensure that communities remain self-sufficient and less vulnerable to global economic pressures.

STRIB'ble District LLC ®️ focus on cottage homesteading directly addresses the concerns highlighted in The Grab.

With the help of my children and husband we created sustainable beauty from the grass up!
