FOLLOW UP TO YESTERDAY'S PUPPY UPDATE:

We did not get the news we wanted to hear at the veterinary appointment yesterday afternoon, but we had a pretty good suspicion going into the appointment that Butters was not pregnant. An ultrasound confirmed this. As hard as it is to accept, sometimes mother nature has other plans which are completely out of our control. There are many factors that go into a successful breeding and it would be impossible to pinpoint what failed this time. It could have been an issue with timing (ovulation), it could have been that it was too hot causing low s***m count or infertility, it could have been that Butters only had a partial heat cycle, it could have been that the pregnancy failed very early on and was absorbed into the body, and the list goes on. Whatever the reason, it just wasn't meant to be this time. There is however, no reason why it cannot be attempted again the next time she goes into heat. She has been successfully bred in the past and had a gorgeous, healthy litter. Arlo has also successfully sired two previous litters. The plan will be to try again at her next heat cycle which is estimated to be in February. We will be sending out emails and text messages to those who requested to be placed on our puppy waiting list. We completely understand if you are ready to add a puppy to your family now and need assistance with getting in touch with an alternative breeder. We will also keep our puppy waiting list open if you are in no rush and would like to remain on the list for a potential puppy next Spring. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.

GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY UPDATE:

We had planned to have a litter of puppies this Fall with our dogs, Arlo and Butters. Butters was in heat and was placed with Arlo for her entire heat cycle. We did witness multiple breedings between them and estimated that if the breedings were successful, their puppies would be born at the end of October/first of November. At this time, Butters is not showing us any signs of pregnancy or at least not for a dog who would be or should be this far along in a pregnancy. To confirm our suspicions of an unsuccessful breeding, Butters has an appointment with the veterinarian to have an ultrasound this afternoon so hopefully we will have more information to share with everyone later this evening. Please check back later for another update! 🙂

A Reading Retriever Update! We are so proud too! Thank you Susie and congratulations to both you and Ellie!

Ellie (Benelli), passed her test for Therapy Dog International. She is officially a therapy dog. As soon as she receives her papers we will get started. I think I will go to some memory care facilities and a veteran's facility to start out. Thank you for such a sweet girl. She is loved!!

I'm so proud of her. She has learned so much and is always so trusting of me with new things. In 2 weeks we are going to a 4 week agility class. I want to see if she enjoys that. Not sure where that will lead us. The one thing we have worked on is increasing her confidence. She has come so far and helped me learn even more about dogs. You guys did so good with her.

Arlo and Stoli's babies are full of it this afternoon! 🤪 They turned 3 weeks old this past Sunday. They are growing by leaps and bounds and are changing everyday. They are doing so good. 😊 We have 5 little boys still available from this litter. AKC Golden Retrievers Text/Call: 940-447-1815

Arlo and Maggie's babies turned four weeks old yesterday and have graduated to a larger pen area to allow more room for run and play! They have also begun drinking water and nibbling on dry puppy food. We will take individual puppy pictures of these little guys and post tomorrow here on our page. We are excited and proud to announce the arrival of Arlo and Stoli's puppies! They were born between the hours of 8:00 pm and 4:00 am (Sunday/Monday). They welcomed a total of eight: 2 girls and 6 boys. Mom and babies are doing great! If you were placed on our puppy waiting list, an email was just sent to you with more information and details so please be on the lookout for that and respond as soon as you possibly can. We have had trouble in the past with our emails being sent to the Spam folder so if you don't see it in your inbox, please also check your Spam folder or be sure and get in touch with me (940-447-1815). For now, have 6 males left available out of this litter. If you are interested please text, call, email, or send a message on Facebook and I would be more than happy to send more information.
