Happy Social Worker Month! This month, we want to take a moment to appreciate the hard work and dedication of our social workers, who tirelessly support those in need every day. In particular, we want to thank our Veterinary Social Worker, Emmaly, for her invaluable contributions to our team.
Many people may not be aware of what a Veterinary Social Worker does, but Emmaly plays a vital role in our hospital. She provides emotional support, counseling, and education to veterinary professionals, as well as helping our clients and their furry friends navigate the emotional challenges that come with pet ownership.
Check out the video below to see what a typical day looks like for Emmaly at our hospital, and learn more about the important work she does. Thank you, Emmaly, for all that you do! #SocialWorkerMonth

We understand veterinary care can be quite costly and often delay pet parents from seeking medical treatment for their sick or injured furry family members. From covering the cost of medications to providing necessary treatments such as blood transfusions, every dollar donated to our Care Fund helps a pet in need.

An important part of mental health is creating time for mental health breaks. Last week, we hosted our first field day and invited team members to participate in physical, mental and team building activities. It was a great opportunity for them to take a quick break, reset, and have fun.

January is National Blood Donor Month and, yes, pets can donate too. As the pet population continues to grow, so does the number of pets who require blood transfusions. Our hospital relies on blood donations as a life-saving treatment for pets experiencing blood loss due to causes such as:
โข Cancer
โข Anemia
โข Underlying clotting problems
โข Internal bleeding from a motor vehicle accident
