A Rescue that inspired a career as a Neurology technician: Stewie Chilcote’s Story!
🐾 In 2007, a delightful dachshund named Stewie became a beloved member of Jillian's family, thanks to the Dachshund Rescue of North America.
Stewie faced significant challenges, including battling Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD), which led to two crucial surgeries. His first surgery, performed by the skilled Dr. Neravanda right here at our hospital in 2015, was not just a medical procedure—it was a life-changing moment for Jillian. Witnessing Stewie's resilience and the expert care provided by our neurology team, Jillian was inspired to pursue a career in veterinary neurology after graduating from vet tech school.
🌈 Though Stewie has since crossed the rainbow bridge, his spirit and the impact he had on Jillian continue to resonate. His journey is what brought Jillian to our team, where she now helps pets face their own neurological challenges with compassion and expertise.

Meet Sydney and her brave pup, Rambo. Born with a rare heart vessel anomaly, Rambo struggled with eating and frequently regurgitated his food, putting him at risk for severe complications. His condition meant he couldn't consume solid food and required around-the-clock care.
That's when Sydney, one of our dedicated staff, stepped in to give Rambo the forever home. With love and perseverance, she syringe-fed him every four hours and ensured he stayed upright after each meal to aid digestion.
Thanks to Sydney's commitment and our advanced medical support, Rambo underwent successful surgery to correct his condition. While he still faces challenges, he's thriving and growing stronger each day.
Let's hear it for Sydney and all the wonderful people who have rescued! Your passion gives countless dogs like Rambo a second chance at life ♥
