Keep an eye out for us this weekend at BG Pride!

If you're a dog lover with a little bit of extra time on your hands or maybe are just getting a tad lonely at home; consider becoming an animal foster

While animal shelters & rescues are an invaluable asset when it comes to saving the lives of animals. But sometimes a shelter isn't the best place for an animal; particularly when it comes to recovering from surgeries, having babies, or getting over a sickness. That's where our fosters come in!

Fosters are instrumental to a safe, less stressful environment to aid a swift recovery for a swift adoption!

This July we have the pleasure of having our Dine 'n Donate with Papa Johns🍕
Wednesday, July 23rd head to any Papa Johns in Bowling Green or Toledo (excluding Dorr St. location) for 10% off your order of delicious pizza AND 20% to go to us and our shelter guests at WCHS.

Bring the whole family to BG City Park June 29th for Dog Days of Summer!

With music, games, crafts, frozen treats, face painting, scavenger hunts, and an astounding raffle basket full of summer fun activities for everyone, there's no shortage of activities for folks of all ages!

June 29th we'll also be operating on holiday hours in shelter to give our whole staff, and some shelter guests, a chance to come out and enjoy the festivities.

No sign up required, just show up and have fun in the sun at the best event of the summer☀

If you're looking for a well-behaved, potty trained dog on the smaller size then we have the dog for you!

Wendell is estimated to be around 11 years old and is more than content to live the leisurely life. He loves chilling on the couch and following folks around the house while you complete your errands! If you get a little lonely at home, Wendell is the guy for you!

Wendell does have a manageable condition called Hypothyroidism. This condition requires morning and evening meds and a maintained diet with no table scraps / human food to keep his weight at the good spot it's at currently.

Chuck Norris may be 4 years old but he plays like a puppy!

If you don't find Chuck bathing in the adoration of people then there's only one other thing he'll be doing and that's tossing his toys around until you come play with him!

Some of his favorite games include: you chasing him & his toy, tug-o-war regardless of the suitability of the toy, running along the fence with the other dogs, eating mulberries, rolling in mulberries, and gardening.
