Sliding T Quarter Horses is looking to add a part time member to our team. This is a great opportunity for a WKU student looking for the chance to work in the equine industry. We are a training operation focused on reining and ranch horses. Job duties include: feeding, watering, cleaning stalls, turning horses out, feeding cattle and general barn/farm maintenance.
Applicants must be 18+years old with their own source of transportation. Horse experience is preferred.

Hank said getting his puppy vaccines didn’t hurt at all! ❤️ Do you know why vaccines are so important for puppies? 🐶 Newborn pups have not yet had a chance to make their own immunity, so they need protection. They can initially receive immunity from their mother as maternal antibodies if the mother was vaccinated and carries those antibodies, but maternal immunity is only temporary and declines steadily over the first few weeks of life. 💉 Learn more: bit.ly/svmcdogvaccines

Multiple rounds of severe weather have already rolled through our area, and coming up soon, we’ll have fireworks bursting in the sky for the Fourth of July. 🎆⛈️ If your pet feels fear or anxiety when they hear loud noises, try the helpful tips below! 🐶🐱

🐾 CREATE A SAFE SPACE: Put them in an inner room or closet with a comfy area for them to relax. Fill the room with familiar smells and toys.
🐾 DISTRACT THEM: Turn on relaxing music or the TV to compete with the noise outside. Get their favorite toy and play with them.
🐾 STAY CALM: Dogs mimic your behavior as they look to you for reassurance. Through your actions, let them know there’s no real threat of danger.
🐾 TRY CALMING PRODUCTS: There are many products created to help calm your pet: special chews, ThunderShirts, pheromone diffusers (Adaptil for dogs and Feliway for cats), and many more. You can find all of these in our Online Pharmacy: bit.ly/svmcop
🐾 GIVE US A CALL: If none of these seem to work for your pet, set up an exam with one of our veterinarians to see if your pet is a good candidate for a trazodone prescription. You can reach us at 270-781-5041.
🐾 MICROCHIP YOUR PET: This is highly important! Scared pets should stay inside and doors to the home should always be closed to keep pets from running away in a moment of fear. Just in case they do get out, make sure they are microchipped. It gives you peace of mind in the worst case scenario. July 4th is one of the main days of the year pets go missing.

Initially, the cat acts like it enjoys the physical contact and may even purr and rub against the person. However, after a variable period of time, the cat may become agitated and turn and bite the hand that is petting it.
