We want to introduce you to Dr. Bynum’s new kitty, Bruce! 🐱 This sweet boy spends his days hanging out in his mom’s office here at the clinic, and at night he cuddles up with Dr. Bynum’s barn kitty, who he has bonded with very well! He gets pampered and loved on constantly by our staff! 🥰 Bruce has been diagnosed with sebaceous gland dysplasia, a very rare congenital skin condition. He can’t produce normal oils, so he will always have poor quality skin and coat. Based on biopsies, he likely also has allergies or an autoimmune disease that worsens the inflammation around his eyes and mouth. Bruce is responding well to treatment with cyclosporine, a multivitamin, an omega fatty acid supplement, daily eye ointment, special shampoo, and a sensitive skin and stomach diet. 🐈‍⬛ We adore this sweet cat so much, and so does Dr. Bynum’s daughter, Emilia! ❤️ Check out that cute pic of them together! 😻
