Una’s pups were quick to investigate the change in the whelping box.

Since their eyes have starting opening they are more mobile. By next weekend they will be out of this box and into an area with litter pans.

Still have a few pups available.

Una’s pups are a week old. Everyone is gaining weight and are climbing over and around stuffies to get to mom for feedings. She had a big litter so we put the smallest one on Anouk to make sure she wasn’t having to fight with 10 other pups to eat. 1st nail trims have been done with both litters as well.

Everyone is taking a much needed break from all the puppies - it’s a beautiful evening so we took advantage of it.

All 18 pups are doing awesome and gaining weight!!!!

Had to make a change to the original plan of rotating 5/5 on Una (the 11th pup - tiny girl is on Anouk). Turns out Una’s ni***es were too big for her little ones to get the latch they need to stimulate the “milk drop”. We made it through the crucial part of getting them all colostrum from her. We saw a slight weight loss with each pup during this time. So once her milk started to come in we flipped the entire litters between the moms for about a day and a half. This gave Una crew a chance to get their weights going up - and they had some big gains in just 24 hours feeding from Anouk.

Anouk’s crew being a few days older and great size to them already where able to latch to Una without issue. Without Una’s “milk drop” happening it would have affected her overall supply and would also increase the risk for mastitis because she was so full.

Today we flip the litters back to normal and we will continue to monitor Una’s pups for “milk drop” and 2x a day weight checks. We might end up rotating entire litters for a few days until Una’s pups get some good size.

Una’s tiny one has been on Anouk from day one she didn’t see any weight loss. We still put her on Una every 90mins to get her colostrum and then would put her right back with Anouk.

All pups are started on ENS and ESI which will continue for the next 1.5 weeks. Started adding obstacles to the whelping boxes for them to navigate around and over to find mom to eat.

Mats have been in the boxes from day one to help with traction while feeding on mom and moving around in general.

Exhaustion is at an all time high for me. Making sure every pup is feeding every 2 hours even throughout the night. Still making sure the 4 other dogs are getting their exercise and their time. Along with training and tracking for Baako & Riot (trial is fast approaching - Nov. 9th). And also still doing my 9-5 job - working from home is a life saver because a few days are more like 9-9 hahaha

2 litters at a time is a lot of work but this time it also had some huge benefits early on.

The first 2 weeks are kinda boring other than whelping box pictures but here are a few from yesterday. Once we get through the 2 weeks more items will get added to the boxes. It’s always exciting to watch them when we hang things from above the boxes

Una finished strong with 11 pups.
6 male
5 female

Started at 5:30 this morning and ended at 12:30. No issues all went smooth. One tiny girl to keep our eye on - we will be rotating her from Una to Anouk to get the colostrum from Una and then she will be strictly on Anouk so she won’t have to fight all of Una’s monster pups at the milk bar.

We will be rotating 2 groups of pups on Una every hour (even through the night) to boost her supply but also to make sure everyone is getting all they need. This makes for sleepless nights for the 1st 2 weeks. Big litters are a TON of work.

There is availability - if interested reach out - this is a repeat of the D-Litter which is over a year old with pups in a variety of sports.

They are all making weight gains 💪🏼. We weigh 2x a day to make sure there is no one we have to keep an extra eye on.

Started ESI today (Early Scent Introduction) and tomorrow begins ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) which we will do until day 16.

Got their weights and there is a tiny peanut in the group at just 6.7 oz (not even a 1/2 a pound).

All are eating and doing great - now to keep a very watchful eye for the next 2 weeks.

First year for the stock pond pool. Looks like a hit. Most of their swimming happens in the pond but this is a better alternative for the pregnant duo. Will also be using this to expose the puppies to swimming before they go home. I avoid the pond because of puppy immune systems being weaker and the potential for bacteria in the pond.
These will be the first litters getting this exposure outside of small kiddie pools

Bendix is a very strong dog in the work. Video links above show the intensity he brings to the field in IGP. He is very social off the field and is easy handled by people other than his owner/handler. He hits hard and fast with full calm hard grips. I have used him with both females on prior litters with pups from those litters training in IGP, PSA, LE and more. He is a proven producer and has progeny working across law enforcement, all the bite sports and AKC venues as well.

Anouk is an incredibly stable dog. She has an amazing off switch and is super easy to live with. She has a silly, goofy side to her with an amazing temperament. Social/Neutral to dogs and people. She is not destructive and does not need to be crated when left alone.
She handles pressure well and if she is unsure on something she works through it quickly. She catches on to things super fast to find her advantage to get what she wants and will push you to work and for engagement.
She has over the top ball drive (no self-preservation when it comes to it) and I have to end work/play or she will go to point of complete exhaustion. She also has very high hunt drive.
She has been the best mother to her pups and even pups that are not hers. Her first litter she had a singleton (Baako) while my other female had 10 pups. We rotated pups to her to nurse from the litter of 10 and she accepted them like they were hers to begin with. Even after the pups are weaned she still wants to spend as much time with them as possible. She teaches them proper play and will give proper corrections when necessary.
Baako stayed here and is being trained in IGP and PSA. He earned his BH in Dec. 2023 and just earned his PSA PDC Memorial Day weekend. He also plays around in Dock Diving and FastCat. He earned a spot at NADD Dock Diving Nationals - which he did well - I need to work on my throwing skills. He just earned his BCAT with his fastest speed being 29.26 MPH. Baako has also been started on explosives scent detection.

This is a repeat of the B litter and E litter. Anouk’s last litter (E Litter - currently 10 months old) has pups training for IGP, PSA, Law Enforcement (single purpose), scent detection (started on Explosives), AKC scent work, man trailing and even conformation. All the pups from this litter are environmental stable, confident and social.

We had an amazing time dock diving this past weekend at Inlet Flyers Regional Qualifier in Murrells Inlet.

Baako placed 3rd in Dock Senior earning him a spot at Regionals. We were trying to get his last 2 jumps he needed for his Dock Master title but is was super consistent jumping at 19’6”

Riot was amazing. She started with 3 jumps in Dock Junior but every time we got on the dock her confidence sky rocketed - she couldn’t get up there fast enough for her turn.
She earned her Dock Senior title instead of Junior because there was no holding her back. She finished with a best jump of 17’6”.
We will be trying some hydro dash with her for sure. Her love of anything water was definitely evident this weekend.

UKA HAS A NEW HOME!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Meet Uka God of War. She is currently looking for an active pet home or even farm life - she loves to be outside. And would be great for someone with another dog. She has been with us for the last 3 weeks for socializing and exposure. She is 14 weeks. AKC registerable. We are helping her breeder find her the best placement. She has been running with my pack since she came. She has been great inside - just some normal puppy stuff like stealing shoes and climbing over her Xpen - but is calm and knows how to relax. We are working on house and crate training and name recognition. Her 1st time seeing a house environment is when she got here - so she was slow to open up but Her confidence has come along a long way inside the house. She loves anything outside including going in the pond - but some inside stuff can be scary for her. She will need to continue being exposed to things slowly so her confidence will continue to improve. Will post more photos and video in the comments along with her pedigree.
