Wheweeee!!! Hope everyone is staying warm!!

Bolton’s Horse Training has moved! I am no longer training in Box Elder. I have moved North of Rapid City off of Haines Avenue. I will have pastures to ride in, an outdoor arena and outdoor pens with shelter!!! Most importantly, I will be close to the horses and am looking forward to the feeling of peace that comes along with my move. Thank you, Jesus for answering my prayers.

Roany and I are going to be getting our groove on with hauling to barrel races this summer and fall. It’s Roany’s first season of competing! I will be hauling training horses also to give them some of that great experience of going somewhere new.

I will be back in the saddle and riding again February 15th and taking horses on March 15th. I’m looking very forward to riding outside, being able to desensitize and pasture ride outside of an arena. I do have a couple spots open as of now for March 15.

We are proud to present Diamond. Located in Box Elder, SD. 15hh. Diamond is looking for a home with adults and kids who will love her, ride her and become her people. Diamond is an 11 year old grade mare. Diamond is the same horse if you ride her everyday or ride her once a month. Easy to catch, lives with geldings and mares. Diamond has straight legs and can be barefoot. Diamond is up to date on shots, has her feet done, chiropractor is done and teeth are done. Those people who will laugh at you for failing. Those people that will say you deserved to fail. Those people who are not happy for you when you have a c**t that works great. Those people that have something negative to say when everyone else says something nice.

We all have those people…those people are the kind of people who make me better. Those people make me get back up. I congratulate those people when they have a great run or they have a c**t that works great! Those people who have something negative to say, those people motivate me. They don’t make me mad and they don’t hurt my feelings.

Those people are the ones I pray for the most!

It’s ok if my dreams are crazy! They are not those people’s dreams to worry about!!!

DOLLY FOUND HER NEXT HOME!!

Dolly is looking for her next home. Dolly is a polite, in your pocket 3 year old grade mare. Dolly is green broke. She is willing and wants to please. Dolly would be best at, barrel racing, ranch horse, pole horse. She does like a job. Dolly is loping a nice circle in and out of the round pen. Dolly will stop on her butt and turn around nicely. She rides outside also. Dolly is learning to stand tied, she is patient, but needs continued work. Dolly is at a price of 3️⃣5️⃣⭕️🅾️. Feel free to contact me by messaging. Videos in comments. Ole Grey….this stout 15hh finished team roping head and heel horse is 15 years old, knows his job in and out of the arena. Stands calmly in the box. No maintenance. Has shoes on, up to date on de-wormer and shots. Ole Grey is handy in the pasture checking cows or dragging calves to the fire. He is the same horse today as he will be if he has had time off. Easy keeper. Kids can ride him and adults. He has get up and go when asked. Located in Colome, SD. $x,### Ole Grey is looking for a loving home to live out his life doing what he loves.

Putting your horse first can not be stressed enough. It is an absolute! I can not stress it enough. If it is hurt, don’t ride it. Always make sure it has water-especially in this heat. Clean its pen/stall daily (would you like to have to sleep on p*e and p**p). Give it love everyday, several times a day. Get it out of its stall more than just a half hour a day. It needs more than that. Your horse depends on you for it’s care. Don’t let them down when they work so hard for you.

“Horses are so expensive.”
I agree, they cost me a lot everyday.

Horses cost you your selfishness.
Having horses means everyday you are alive you must consider someone’s needs before your own, multiple times a day. Even when you’re away from them arrangements must be made, this builds character and gives us self worth.

Horses cost you your ego.
Right when you think you have it figured out, you will undoubtedly be presented with a humbling experience either in the arena or out. They will force you to reach out for help when your expertise is maxed out. If you are wise, you will realize life is like this too. Maybe we should reach out for help more frequently and we would get further.

Horses cost you your laziness.
You will never progress with an equine partner by leaving it turned out, just as you will never progress by staying checked out. Do the work and you will get somewhere.

Horses cost you your heart.
They never fail to find a way to touch us deep within even (and especially) when we are feeling cold to the ways of the world. There’s something special about getting to interact with a being that becomes softer when we soften. We should learn to respond to one another similarly.

Yes, horses are so expensive. But everything they’ve ever cost me has also made me 👏🏻

I want to personally Thank each and everyone of our past clients, current clients and future clients for all of the phone calls, texts and cards during my journey with Kidney Cancer. I had my right kidney which had 2 separate types of cancer removed on June 7, 2021 and have been healing since. God has blessed me and He is so Good.

Well, the great news is, starting August 1st, I will be back in the saddle full time. Let me tell you, I am so excited and looking forward to being back in the barn. I miss the trusting and mutual respecting relationships I am able to develop with each horse that comes into our care.
