Bolton's Horse Training

Bolton's Horse Training At this time I am giving riding lessons. You need to have your own horse. I learn every single day and I enjoy putting that knowledge to work on your horse.

Having ridden, rodeo’d and showed since I was a child, made me know I wanted to follow in my Folks Foot Steps and be a horse trainer. Growing up on a ranch, watching horses being trained and competed on by my folks, spurred my passion even more. Having a proven track record with starting colts, desensitization as well as helping horses build confidence in themselves, it only made sense for me to

move back to the Black Hills and begin to train horses full time. You will find me to be soft with my hands, quiet while I ride, patient, fair, caring and an excellent communicator. Before I agree to take a horse on, I want to know from you, what your goals are for your horse. What you have done with the horse, what you want done with the horse and I especially want to know everything about your horse. The good, the bad, and even the ugly. Your horse and I will become a team, in order to do that, I have to know all you know about your horse. Before your horse goes home with you, I will have you ride your horse and learn what the horse has learned as many times as you would like in order for you to become comfortable. You can expect a feeding program that fits your horse. You can expect your horse to be worked 6 days a week-depending on the age, maturity level and how your horse responds to learning new movements. You can expect a clean stall each and everyday for your horse. Fresh water and clean buckets. Your horse will be ridden/worked inside and outside. You can expect complete honesty, even those hard conversations that are maybe not that fun to have about your horse. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to getting to know you and your horse.

Time to get your horses (and self) in shape for summer. At this time, I am giving lessons from the ground. Meaning, you will need your own horse. Whether it be advice on how to get your horse to do something, fix and issue or give a riding lesson, let me know.
