Hi everyone! I just wanted to make a quick PSA. I still get a lot of messages everyday. I am currently not breeding silkies. I may sometime in the future and this page will be the first to know if I do! If you guys are interested in chicks, send my friend Brittany McCord a message. She’s local to me and occasionally she still hatches chicks. 🐣

So some of you might know, and some of you might not. I have made the toughest decision ever and I am parting with my flock. I’ve been a chicken momma for the past 3 years and I’ve loved every second of it. I’ve put so much time and money into my girls. My chickens are my babies and it’s gonna be sad and hard to see them go. But I believe it’s the best decision for now, and one day I will get back into it when my life slows down a little. I have most of my girls going to good friends here locally. I may have a few looking for new homes as I figure out who is taking what. Thank you guys for following my page and I plan on keeping it updated as my friends send me pictures of my girls. Brittany Yusko is taking my paints at The Banty Hen Homestead go over and follow her page to stay updated on future babies!!

Would anyone be willing to take on this sweet disabled girl? I believe she would be best as a house chicken. She has curled toes and a deformed leg. She doesn’t get around as well as a normal chicken. But she still eats and drinks and has a lively personality. I feel bad keeping her when I don’t have the time to properly take care of her. Laverne is literally the sweetest little girl ever and I want her to go to a good home.
