At UrgentVet, we never know what kind of adventure your pets will bring through our doors! Here’s a peek at last week's "greatest hits":
• A broken toenail (ouch!)
• Limping like a pirate
• Cherry eye (but no cherries involved)
• Hives (not the honey kind)
• Chocolate (and wrapper) cravings
• Diarrhea (we won’t say more)
• A toothache (even the Tooth Fairy couldn’t fix)
• Itchy skin and ears (scratch-a-palooza)
• Chasing a garbage truck (and a hurt foot to show for it)
• A mysterious laceration (the plot thickens)
• An upset tummy (who doesn’t love corn on the cob...except when it’s the whole cob)
We're here when your furry friend needs a little TLC. Save your spot online or just walk right in!

What is UrgentVet? Think of us like urgent care for pets. 🐾

In human healthcare, you see your regular doctor for wellness visits and planned procedures, and you go to the ER when it’s life-threatening. For everything in between, you visit urgent care.

The same applies to veterinary care! Pets visit their regular vet for checkups and vaccinations, and the emergency vet for serious, life-threatening issues. We’re here for everything in between—like cuts, bites, itching, diarrhea, vomiting, limping, scooting, and more.

Save your spot online or just walk in. We’re open weekdays 3 PM to 11 PM and weekends 10 AM to 8 PM.

08/17/2024

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.
