Job Title: Barn Hand

Overview:
Join our team as a Barn Hand and play a vital role in the daily operations of our farm. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for animal care and farm maintenance to contribute to the success of our operation.

Responsibilities:
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, and grooming livestock
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Assist in the growing and harvesting of crops
- Provide care for equine animals
- Operate heavy equipment for various farm tasks
- Repair and maintain farm equipment as needed
- Assist in irrigating fields and maintaining proper water levels
- Utilize power tools for construction and repair projects

Experience:
- Proven experience in animal husbandry and care
- Familiarity with farm machinery operations
- Ability to maintain equipment in good working condition
- Knowledge of growing practices and crop maintenance
- Experience working with equine animals is a plus
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Skills in equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to irrigate fields efficiently
- Competency in using various power tools for farm-related tasks

Florida Beach Horses is hiring!

We are currently looking for guides to help us with guided beach rides on the Palma Sola Causeway .This is a part time position. It is a great job for someone that has horse experience and loves the beach. Must be flexible with schedule. LOCAL to the area is a must and have own transportation in case of last minute bookings. Horse experience is required. You must be able to swim and must be outgoing/able to talk to customers while keeping them safe. You would be required to saddle and unsaddle horses, groom and etc...Please apply on Indeed if you think this is the right fit for you!

Some of you might already be familiar with our mom & daughter duo, and know their story but might’ve never gotten to see these pictures k❤️
Naomi came to us as a pregnant mama, rescued from an overbreeding facility, and a few months later we were blessed with Jezamay.
Every May we celebrate her birthday month, but this month was extra special as we celebrated
10 WHOLE YEARS!!
We couldn’t close out this month without sharing the best baby pictures of Florida Beach Horses very first baby 🫶

It’s a Sparkles kind of week! ✨ If you ever wondered if this was a good activity for kids, Sparkles is here to confidently answer that question. YES!
Sparkles is known for being the sweetest most gentle girl. She will take care of you and make sure you have a good time no matter your age or experience. But she definitely knows when she has a little one with her and her inner mom is activated and now you’re her kid 😅

Happy Easter from the Florida Beach Horses family! 🩵🤍

On this significantly special sunday, we get to celebrate with a very special duo, and this inseparable mom and daughter bond. 👯‍♀️
One bubble blowing queen couldn’t be mentioned without the other.
Naomi came to us as a pregnant rescue from an over breeding facility almost 9 years ago. Jezemay was delivered with us and has stolen too many hearts ever since.
Their sassy personality is hereditary, and so are the cuddles!
There’s nothing these two like more than spending time together at the beach, blowing bubbles underwater and cuddling our riders and guides through the day.
Oh and of course some carrots! 🥕

This week's featured horse is ROWDY!

Rowdy is one of our “OG Boys” that has been with us for so many amazing years.
Rowdy is a great horse, no matter if you’re a young, beginner rider, or an experienced rider looking to canter down the beach.
He’s known for his loud vocals in the water, and squeals of excitement before cantering on the beach.
Rowdy loves to swim, but he loves to roll in the sand after our rides even more! 😆

A seven-year-old girl from Michigan was granted a special wish. Dakota Rose spent the last few months battling a rare cancer. From chemotherapy to hospital stays, it took a toll not just on her, but on her family. Now, she has a clean bill of health and got to celebrate in the Tampa Bay area. "I’ve never rode on the water before," Dakota said. Her wish to ride horses in the surf was granted by Make-A-Wish South Florida. Her father calls it a dream come true after what she’s been through. "Valentine’s Day this year was not the same," Dakota's father Donald Woodman said. Doctors diagnosed Dakota with a rare kidney cancer called Wilms tumor. It’s a cancer that mainly affects children, and in order to save her life, she needed emergency surgery and then 10 weeks of chemo. "There’s nothing harder than seeing your daughter who has all this energy go through that," Woodman said. "She played softball during that time, and I told the coaches don’t be surprised if she stopped. She never did. She never gave up." After learning she was cancer-free, Make-A-Wish flew them from Michigan to Bradenton to enjoy a vacation as a family. They got to bond over something fun, and not a scary diagnosis. "It’s been really hard on the family too. Harder on by daughter of course," her father said. "Stuff like this gives us our bonding back together. Good for us to see she’s taking chances." They enjoyed a lot of what the Tampa Bay area has to offer. Dakota went parasailing, on a dolphin tour and to Busch Gardens. The family is grateful for the time together and new memories they are making – putting cancer in the rearview mirror. "She’s really excited about it. She does understand what she went through. This is a way for people to give back and help you enjoy life again," Woodward said. The Chief Operating Officer of Make-A-Wish South Florida, Richard Kelly, said it's gratifying to do this for a living and make a difference in a child’s life. "Wish

With over a decade of horse handling experience and a fully trained staff, we offer many unique beach horseback rides for the young, old, beginner, and experienced.

Your safety is our first priority on and off the horse. All of our equipment is wiped down and sterilized after every use and hand sanitizer is on-site at all times.

Our loveable beach horses range from all different breeds and sizes! This diversity makes it an enjoyable experience for every rider. Some of the horses are wider to support more weight, while others are small and petite, perfect for children.
