Cute beyond words and a total lovebug BUT Gigi has VERY specific needs. She has SEVERE separation anxiety so we are looking for a home where someone is TRULY home most of the time. This means not someone that goes out to socialize alot etc. She also needs to be leash walked a few times a day and not just let out in the backyard. She likes other dogs, but is too strong and plays too rough for a small dog so only medium-large dogs, no exceptions. She really just wants to sit by someone and sleep next to them and be their BFF! www.underdogadopt.com

Koko is a 6 year old l, adorable, handsome Shih Tzu Mix rescued from Puerto Rico. Koko’s owner is looking for a home for Koko with someone with dog training experience willing to work with a dog that has nipped several times and has broken skin. The home should have no children. He is a total lovebug and will snuggle but definitely has food/toy aggression as well as unknown triggers. We have offered to help screen applicants. Ellie needs to be the only dog. She’s a two(??)year-old female chocolate goldendoodle- according to the people that gave her up. We never quite know as people are sketchy with ages….She is not spayed yet. She was given to a lady a couple weeks ago by a friend of a friend of theirs. They thought it would be good to have another goldendoodle with her grandchildren’s goldendoodle but she is aggressive with the other dog and keeps trying to attack it. She’s great with kids, great with adults is not food aggressive. House trained completely. If anyone has heart medications, ear meds, denemarin or 10mg vetoryl- they can’t use-we have dogs that can use it. We do have RX for them but I hate for meds to be thrown out if they can be used! You can always turn them in to our vet so they can give them to us- if that makes you more comfortable! Please PM us. Thanks!

These are the two sweet little Frenchies we just rescued from the shelter. They are resting comfortably in their foster homes. Poor babies are heartworm positive, have digestion issues and skin conditions. They are in good hands and we will get them all fixed up! On to a better life sweet girls!

Another call from the shelter today. Frank’s Owner passed away and no one can keep poor Frank. The neighbor dropped him off at the shelter crying as she cannot take care of him either. Frank is a chunky 18lbs and is 10 years old. So- that makes 4 in two days…When the rescue coordinator opened the cage for the picture he almost jumped out into her arms. He wants to get OUT! Soooo- this is what not having a solid back up plan looks like… and we get calls like this weekly.
Max was bought as a puppy and had an elderly owner who now has to go into assisted living. Max is about 7 and has been the only dog at his home. Max detests grooming and will try to bite the groomer. Max is also protective and if close to his owner or nervous will nip if you reach to pet him. He is also barky with new people in the home. His owner was not able to socialize him as a puppy- he was not in good shape. So here is poor Max- On the chopping block. The family plans to euthanize him. Max gets along with other dogs. Clearly with his biting- he cannot be around small children. Max would do best with a single or understanding couple without a lot of visitors with a fenced yard. He is NOT reliably housetrained- though the cleaner and part time caretaker of the owner says when she takes him to her house he is ok because he gets taken outside. Suggestions for a home for Max so he can see 2025?

Another rescue was contacted to take these two poodles but they don’t have the room. Owner passed away, partner has dementia. Police came, removed them and left the dogs in the house. The groomer has them now and we are looking for a foster for both. They are 2 nine year old female poodles. Please complete an application at www.underdogadopt.com

Update-fosters found! These two dogs have been living outside. This is a video. The owners finally agreed to guve them up to the neighbor but she cannot keep them. She has them in her car… and is looking for a rescue. They do not have to stay together. The girl can climb fences and the boy is a little barky when contained or saying hello. They lived with children but were basically outside dogs. Purchased from Petland…. If you would like to foster please complete an application at www.underdogadopt.com

I drove to the homeless camp this puppy was surrendered from but it had been cleared out. I drove all around trying to find where they might have set back up because I was going to beg, pay and plead for them to give me the other puppies. Sadly I could not find them. I’m very worried the remaining puppies will not survive. I doubt this one wiuld have made it without the treatment he received. The person has them in a picnic box type basket. Sooo- if you see a homeless person with a picnic type square basket- please reach out to us via PM.
