Double the cuteness, fun and kisses. Nala and Pongo were picked up by animal services after Pongo was hit by a car. He has made a wonderful recovery. These two are just the cutest pair. They are great with my other dogs as long as you do a proper introduction. They play so well together- they will entertain you with their antics for hours. When they are done playing, they will happily cuddle in your lap for as long as you will let them! Nala ( the lighter one) is especially affectionate and will bug you for attention and lap time -so it would be great for a couple to have a dog on each lap to cuddle. They are crate trained and extremely food motivated. They weigh about 15lbs each and are only about a year old. You will not regret adopting these two adorable sweethearts!They look to be Cairn terrier french bulldog mixes. Applications can be found at www.underdogadopt.com

The little yorkie mix we pulled yesterday went right to the vet today. His little bum was red and raw and he was having issues straining to potty and p*e. His urinalysis showed he has some crytals and a possible urinary tract infection so he will remain on special food and is on an antibiotic. He has ointment on his little baboon butt until it is healed and he has rotten teeth and an enlarged prostate. Despite this, he happily runs and plays in the yard enjoying being free! Once he is up for it he will get his neuter and dental. His foster has named him Louie. Thank you Therese for jumping in and grabbing him for us!

Please take a moment to honor Thea. Thea was one of our longtime, wonderful foster homes. She was battling an illness with beauty and grace. She was always up for a laugh or a cruise! She had a prayer on her page putting her 2025 fate in God’s hands. God decided to bring her home to him last week. We will miss you Thea. Thank you for all you have done for the animals! May your shining light comfort your friends and family. ❤️

This sweet little boy has our name on him at the shelter. We are looking for a local foster for him. I have visited him at the shelter and he has been a friendly boy. 13lbs. Where are our medium sized dog lovers? Rosie is 44 pounds and is completely house trained bluetick. She is 7 years old and great with kids and older people. She was my husband's comfort animal even though she had no training. She only barks when she is happy to see you. Rosie is chipped and up to date on everything. I have cancer and need surgery and will be moving out of my home. This really breaks my heart but I have reached out to everyone and I need to find her a wonderful home. Chewy needs the perfect home- FOR HIM! They took him on pre-baby when their parents got him and could not handle his energy. They have worked with him a lot and have also used medications to help as recommended by their vet. Please refeain from judgy comments as this is a young couple really trying to do the right thing. Some small dogs are just NOT good with little ones. They did not dump him at a shelter, they are reaching out to be sure he is placed in the perfect home. This was not a casual decision for them.

The Good:
- very smart and obedient
- cuddly and loving. Likes to spoon in bed
- easy to train on new tricks
- knows how to heel on leash
- knows sit, lay down, stay, come, shake, roll over, and go to place
- can learn agility courses pretty easily (I can send pics or vid)
- no food or toy aggression
-playful but not super high energy. With a few short walks a day he likes to lounge on the couch the rest of the time
- house trained. Only the occasional accident if he is left alone for too long and is anxious. Very rare maybe once every six months at most.

Bad/ugly:
- very reactive to certain triggers. Reaction is anxious or aggression depending on the trigger
- has bitten everyone who has spent significant time with him at one point or another. Typically when he is reacting aggressively and you attempt to grab him. Only broken skin on my mother in law
- does not like cats or other dogs. He can have positive dog interactions for short periods such as on a walk but cannot be in a home with other pets foe the longterm
- triggered by babies crawling, being bounced, etc.

Triggers:
- people getting up to leave (guests only)
- exiting the house (guests, not for me or my wife)
- baby crawling or being bounced
- saying “alright, love you” which is what we say when we leave
- doorbell
- knock at the door
- bringing luggage to the door
- talking with your hands aggressively

All of the above he can get aggressive with. Barking, biting ankles, hands, etc.

He responds well to desensitization training but you need to be consistent. 5-10 minutes per day is enough.

We need to rehome him due to his aggression to the baby. He has attempted to bite her multiples times. Sometimes multiple times per day. We are worried about how we will be able to manage him when we have more kids and as our daughter gets more mobile. We keep them separated now unless working on his training.
