In preparation for Hurricane Milton we will be closed Tuesday 10/8 at 1 pm and all day Wednesday 10/9. Dr Sam goes over what you need to know to be hurricane prepared for your pet as well as if you need to evacuate with your pet. Here are some top tips: 1. Make their collar has a tag with your name and phone number on it as well as their rabies tag in case they get loose. 2. Have a copy of their vaccine records in case you need it for a shelter. If you are kind of ours and have the PetDesk app, then you have all of your records at your finger. 3. If you are evacuating to a shelter, regardless of the size of your pet, you will need to have a crate for them. 4. Look up pet friendly hotels in your evacuation route so that you are prepared with places that you can stay with your pet. 5. Have at least 5 to 7 days worth of food, water and necessary medication‘s for your pet. Everyone please stay safe! 🌀 #hurricanemilton #hurricanepreparedness
