***Kiara is on a super fun sleepover***

We are so in love with 3 year old Kiara. Sadly, she arrived because her family lost everything after Hurricane Milton. Kiara is THE BEST. Because she lost her family and her home, she is very shy and will need someone who will allow her to understand her life will be loved and safe again. She not only loves to dance, she loves other dogs, digs going on walks and smelling all kinds of stuff along the way. And loves chasing balls and giving it back … for a snack. This stunning beauty is going to make an amazingly awesome addition to a super nice family. She’s great with English and Math, so if you’re kids need help with school projects, she’s a great academic tutor … AND she doesn’t eat homework!

Stop by to meet caring Kiara. If you have other dogs, bring them along for a super fun meet and greet! Perhaps take her on a super fun sleepover and see that she’s a great house guest! https://humanemanatee.org/shelter/sleepover-program/ We’re located at 2515 14th Street W., Bradenton. Our adoption hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm and closed for shelter lunch from 12pm – 1pm. ***BoJack is on a super fun sleepover***

Look at this beautiful boy! This is 5 year old BoJack. He came through our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program. He’s so sweet and gentle, it’s obvious he’s not feral and was dumped off in a dangerous area. BoJack and had no business going back out trying to stay alive. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Because he had to defend himself, he is FIV+ but that never stops our fabulous FIV+ felines from finding incredibly loving homes. They can live long healthy, loving and happy lives for many years. BoJack is looking for a family who has issues with suspicious red dotes flying around in the house because he’s VERY GOOD at catching and dealing with them. Your safety is his top priority!

Stop by to meet this amazing boy! Maybe take him on a super fun sleepover?! He’s got his duds packed. https://humanemanatee.org/shelter/sleepover-program/ We’re located at 2515 14th Street W., Bradenton. We LOVE happy endings and our successful Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program! https://humanemanatee.org/.../trap-neuter-return-feral-cats/ We posted Talia, a baby herself, the beginning of September. She was found in the bushes on 8/10 with her three very newborn children Maple, Freddie and Rambler. Sadly, they weren’t thriving, not doing well at all, so our amazing Shelter Manager Lisa started bottle feeding them, providing them with round-the-clock care. Talia went on a super fun sleepover and was adopted on 9/3 and now Rambler adopted his new baby sister and mom on 11/2. Congratulations to this adorable family! 💙🐾🐾🐾🐾❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

We introduce you to a new heartthrob … this is 6 year old Thor and is an absolute dream and so much fun. He LOVES to play ball. That’s his life and his true passion. Other passions include going places and having fun, ball shopping, and people watching. Thor is a team player and sometimes let’s others win so they can enjoy happiness as well. He is selective with dog friends, so we encourage a meet and greet. He was an owner surrender due to severe ear infections that his owner was unable to afford. Thor will have to come back to our Veterinary Clinic for an Ear Cytology in a couple of weeks.

Stop by to meet this handsome dude. We’re located at 2515 14th Street W., Bradenton. Our adoption hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm and closed for shelter lunch from 12pm – 1pm. Hip hip hoooorrayyy for 3 month old Giselle! She arrived on 8/6 with her sister Karina through our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program. Karina was adopted on 10/29! They were tiny newborns and needed immediate medical care and went into one of our fabulous foster home until they were old enough and strong enough to be adopted. We weren’t sure if they would make it through the first night … but they were little champs! We’re so happy that baby Giselle also became a loved family member on 10/31. Have a wonderful life baby girl. ❤🐾🐾🐾🐾❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

We have a super fun adoption update! Baby Quartz arrived with her siblings Tourmaline, Moonstone and Amber on 1/8. They were a litter from a family-owned pet. Quartz went on a super fun sleepover on 2/9 and knew that her family needed more fun in their lives so she adopted them on 2/13. They sent these adorable photos and said:

This is Quartz.. the first day she came home with us.. and then today. This is the way she lays all the time>>posing for a picture with her arms crossed. She is doing great. A diva in the making but a toddler at heart. Thank you for bringing us together. ❤🐾🐾🐾🐾💙🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

How adorable is this??! Confetti and Freddie didn’t arrive as sisters … but they left sisters when they adopted their new human siblings! Their stories are incredible. After waiting an amazing 158 days, 6 month old Confetti became a loved family member! She was found as a tiny kitten with her mom and siblings Comet, Bombette, Brocade and Rocket. Sadly, their mommy was very sick and passed, but her siblings were all adopted and Confetti finally was too! Freddie, is the daughter of Talia, a baby herself, who was found the beginning of September. Talia was in the bushes on 8/10 with her three very newborn children Maple, Freddie and Rambler. Sadly, they weren’t thriving, not doing well at all, so our amazing Shelter Manager Lisa started bottle feeding them, providing them with round-the-clock care. Freddie went from the brink of death to loving her new family! Congratulations to this beautiful new family. ❤🐾🐾🐾🐾💙🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Halloween has come and gone and now 4 year old Hickory is excited and is focusing on the “November Potato Wave Gravy Boat Ride”! He would love nothing more than to spend the rest of his Thanksgivings with a wonderful family. This boy is so special and has won our hearts! Hickory’s story:

Handsome Hickory was transferred in on 11/8/23 from a high kill county shelter in dire need of space. 51 weeks and 3 days to be exact. 360 days in total, almost one year. All animals that enter our shelter receive a thorough health evaluation by our veterinary team. Unfortunately, this exam revealed that Hickory was heartworm positive. His treatment was completed and his 9 month heartworm retest is due in December. So, he is still considered HWP until his recheck. During the months of his treatment, Hickory’s activity level had to be very restricted to allow his body time to heal. He wasn’t able to go on long walks or play with other dogs for his own good. This was very hard for Hickory because he is a very active dog who loves to run and play.

After completion of treatment, we found that Hickory had become nervous and anxious at times. He was now reactive to most other dogs and selective of new people. He just needs new humans to give him a little more time to develop trust. Once you earn his trust, he is a very sweet and playful dog. He loves to take car rides for picnics in the park with his favorite peeps. He enjoys belly rubs and back massages. He loves to play with balls, especially blue ones that squeak. He loves to chase ice cubes in water buckets and kiddie pools. He will sit for treats and takes food from your hand so gently. He even eats food from his bowl slowly.

Hickory is a great playful dog who will be a loving and faithful companion for a human that is willing to give him the time he needs to develop trust. He needs a someone that is a consistent leader so that he feels safe, calm and confident. He needs a home where he is the only pet, at least initially. He needs an active person who is able to walk him and play with him every day. In return, he will give you unconditional love. So, if you can provide a loving home where Hickory is given the time and attention he needs to develop trust with his family, please come to our shelter to meet him and see if you and Hickory are a good a great fit.
