We are a non-profit organization that is not State funded and is run mostly on donations.

Volunteers wishing to walk dogs may do so between the hours of 12pm and 3:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Volunteers must be 18 or older and bring photo ID.

Christmas is just a few weeks away, meaning some animals want stuff for Christmas!
The dogs asking for gifts include Copperfield, Jack, Cheerful, GoGo, Pretty, and Costume.
The cats asking for gifts include Sugar Plum, Ikea, Purrito, KFC, Bandito, and Egg Salad.
Check out their lists to give them the most paw-sitively accurate gift. You can wrap them, put names on them, etc. Get creative! The due date is December 24th!

Soup is a 6 Month Old Neutered Male Domestic Shorthair Black and White kitten. He has been at the shelter since 10/22/2024. He is looking for his forever home.

Our Story

The McKean County SPCA is an 501(c) status animal shelter in northern Pennsylvania. We generally house about 60 dogs and almost 85 cats. We exist to help animals, and the well-being of the animals in our care is our top priority. We are their voice! Our staff go above & beyond to care for the animals. We couldn’t do this without them or our community!
