Starts tomorrow!

Saturday training at Pine Shadows begins soon. This weekly event is conducted on most Saturdays except during the field trial and hunting seasons. All hunting breeds are welcome. First dog down is about 8:30 and we are usually finished before Noon. Snacks or a meal plus conversation in the training office follows. If it is super cold there may be more conversation inside than training outside. Keep an eye on our pages for start date and changes.

On Saturday, August 3, Pine Shadows is hosting the NMESSC Field Trial Judging Seminar. There will be no dog training on that Saturday. We will be training on Wednesday evening.

No Diamonds and Dogs training this Thursday. We will be back at it August 8th!

On Thursday morning, August 1st, we will be welcoming a busload of about thirty folks, campers, staff and volunteers, from the Deep Portage Upland Bird Camp for their 33rd annual field day with us. The campers will be involved in demonstrations and hands-on activities including puppy raising, canine first aid, therapy dogs, bird dog training in the field and water, s***t shooting, and firearm history while meeting a variety of gun dogs in action. Thanks to the many volunteers who share their time and expertise leading the campers in the various activities.

Nick Meier from Meier K9 will be giving an E-Collar Clinic
Nick is a Professional Bite Dog trainer and bird dog trainer with world wide dog training experience. Nick will be focusing on E-Collar introduction, proper use and E-Collar conditioning.
Todd Stelzer will be giving a seminar on running your dog at a field trial, setting your dog up to look good, understanding the wind, problem behaviors and training techniques.
If you would like to have your dog evaluated during a run there is an additional cost for birds.

Lunch will be provided. Bring a chair and a good attitude.
