Beautiful canter work today with student Hanna and beloved school horse Foxy in a lesson with Instructor Janelle.
Foxy is in her mid 20s and semi retired. It’s lovely to see that as a result of our holistic horse keeping practices such as the Bemer PEMF blanket, Dynamite Supplements, Ralco grain products as well as Enlightened Classical Riding and proper biomechanics she is still going strong and enjoying herself!

Bitless for the first time!
So proud of Luna and Sue for their amazing progress in the recent Confident Horse Confident Rider clinic with our clinician Staci Fornshell at Spirit Horse Center.
Luna expressed her high anxiety the first day of the clinic in the form of anger by saying "no" to participating in several of the activities. Working as a team and using all the tools in our horse centered approach with Reach Out to Horses methods by Anna Twinney - we went from frustration and anxiety under saddle (and on the ground) to Bitless for the first time, relaxed and enjoying the exploration of the obstacle course. It was a pretty incredible transformation and we couldn't be more proud of them both.

“Confident Horse, Confident Rider Clinic – what a perfectly named clinic. Staci is an amazing instructor. Makes you stretch without pushing you and your horse too far. Never forced, looking to make a connection with my horse. Staci is right there with you giving the exact support, saying the needed words at the right time. Even though there were other participants and horses in the arena, I felt I and my horse were treating individually. Each day built upon skills. Each day saw improvement. Each day ended with lots of positives. Though at times I felt overwhelmed, it was a feeling that was brought in to check with Staci’s calming words and expert timing. I always felt I and my horse were safe. Staci got me out of my comfort zone, and I found I was able to meet the challenge. It was a privilege to be part of such a wonder group of women and their horses. Everyone was right there for each other to celebrate the victories and to offer encouragement during the challenges. I highly recommend Staci, her staff, and Spirit Horse Center to anyone that is looking to build a trust-based leadership relationship using compassionate communication with their horses. 2023 was filled with many highs and a few lows. From the completion of the rigorous ROTH instructor coursework for Staci and Equine Bowen Level one and two for Journey to the privilege of training brilliant horses and providing horsemanship and riding education to many humans and the sad loss of Hooper and Zombado.
