We are sad to report that the world recently lost a wonderful human being and rescuer. Kathy Vachon was part of the feral cat action team and she and her husband Ron helped rescue countless stray and feral cats in Holbrook and surrounding towns. Kathy was a former board member on our board and she helped make this organization what it is today. We are very sorry to have lost her. She was a wonderful person who dedicated her life to helping others in need both human and animal alike. Please feel free to post your condolences to her family and close friends through her obituary site. This has been devastating to them.

Hello. South shore humane is reaching out to see if anyone may be looking to volunteer at our cat shelter. The shifts we are looking to cover are Wednesday am and Friday pm. If you haven't ever volunteered it is such a rewarding experience. You see the transformation of these kitties from when we take them in right to their adoption. We miss each one of the but know they are going to great homes. If interested send a message and we can see if this is something you may like to do. Happy Thanksgiving

On November 30 South Shore Humane will have a craft table with lots of fun cat crafts at the sip and stroll at the Hanson American Legion. Hope to see alot of you there.

Hello South Shore Humane Society is looking for a volunteer for every other monday pm shift at our shelter. If you enjoy cats and have a few hours to donate at the shelter you will bring rewarded every shift with love and affection from all the cats.
