My name is Danielle Sigmon and I am the owner and operator of Dani the Dog Nanny. Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a small town in Berwick, Maine. My love and passion for animals came at a very young age. My first pet was a little turtle, then a cute white kitten. Our family also had a few dogs in our lives and my love grew stronger. After high school I joined the US Navy and tr

aveled overseas. I enjoyed learning about life and different cultures. I then traveled around and stayed in a career of public service working for the Federal Government. After 30 years, my heart was pulling me to leave it all behind, move to our Finger Lakes retirement home and start my own dog walking, pet sitting and pet photography business. Update: After 4 years of absolutely loving my new business I decided to add daycare and boarding at my home 2 years ago. I decided that I would dedicate my time to only that, and no longer go out and about pet sitting. I still do the photography and also added supporting local weddings taking care of the couples dog needs. Mission Statement
Dani the Dog Nanny’s mission is to provide customers exceptional service in caring for their pets. Walking dogs, pet sitting and pet photography will be a wonderful experience for pets and pet owners. The services will exceed the expectations of customers through the company’s experience, loyalty and dependability.

📢BASIC OBEDIENCE & PUPPY PLAY CLASSES ARE NOW OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT!

Basic obedience group classes are as follows:

-Tuesday evenings: February 25th - March 25th
-Thursday evenings February 27th - March 27th
-Tuesday evenings April 22nd - May 20th
-Thursday evenings April 24th - May 22nd

One night a week for 5 weeks
6:30pm-7:30pm (please come 10 minutes early)
Register on the Gingr Pet Parent App or call (315) 602-2344
Must be up-to-date on Rabies, Distemper & Bordetella
$150 total for one round of classes

Puppy play classes are as follows:

-March 1st
-March 15th
-March 29th
-April 12th

$25 each class
10:00am-11:00am
Ages 3-9 months only
Register on the Gingr Pet Parent App or call (315) 602-2344
Must be up-to-date on Rabies, Distemper & Bordetella

When I go back to work, not sure how many miles I’ll be walking daily, but in case I’m still limited, I have the nice play barn and the fenced yard to throw balls and play.

I do focus on long walks 3 times a day here, but after this knee replacement I will be going back slowly.

I have 3 more weeks until my first guests. I truly hope I’ve allowed ample time. My pt says I’m doing great. I’m still very unsteady at times so working on those muscles.

I miss all my doggies. I’m seeing some at various kennels having fun. Glad there are other nice places to go.

Celebrating my Oskar turning 12 today.
The one thing I love the most with working from home is the ability to be with my own dogs 24/7.

When we worked in DC for Fed Gov, we were gone from the home 14 hours a day, 3 hours in worth of commuting.

Weekends were spent with chores or food shopping and just the little time we had with the dogs.

Oskar is an amazing dog. I have a special day and party planned for him tomorrow. 🩵🩵

Looking to see how much interest there is for a Beginner's Dog Obedience class.

It will be held one evening during the week for 5 weeks and each class will be about an hour long. We would cover topics such as sit, lay down, stay, loose-leash walking, and come. The cost would be $150 per dog per course.

You rent the space for $15/hour and we provide you with the tub, shampoo, brushes, towels and professional dryer. If you needed extra services like a nail trim, our professional groomer would take care of that during your appointment.

And here I am, ready to finally live my dream and provide exceptional quality service to the community. I also give back to the community I serve by volunteering for the local animal shelter walking dogs, attending events and taking photos of the pets. Update:

After 3 years of being in business, I can’t express fully how wonderful and enriched my life has become providing this service to my community. I have since added Dog Boarding at my home and overnight stays at clients homes. Look for in the upcoming year Puppy Boot Camp Mondays and seasonal photo sessions on my property with sets/stations. Lots of fun!
