Meet our new foster girl ✨Bindi✨

Bindi came from a Sunshine Puppies in Largo- even though puppy stores in Florida have been banned, this specific store and one other has been “grandfathered in” to continue business. This name may sound familiar because most recently this store has been slapped on the wrist with a fine after another husky puppy was found falling/stumbling, running into walls, clearly not doing well. When this was brought to the attention of the owner he took the puppy home with him rather than taking him to the emergency vet. Unfortunately, this puppy died. This was just one recent situation and we can only imagine the awful things that happen to dogs that don’t make it to the public light. These stores should not exist and they need to be shut down.

Bindi was extremely fearful and was getting too old to sell. She was going to be euthanized. Thankfully, she was saved from that fate thanks to 🙌🏼

Welcome, Joey!

Joey has been coming over for multiple “happy visits” to prepare for a longer stay coming up next month. We require these visits for some dogs who need a little extra care in building relationships with new environments and new friends. Joey and I used to hang out all the time back in his younger years (around 9 years ago) when I first became a dog trainer!

Cooper has done multiple “happy visits” prior to his stay to ensure he is comfortable and feels safe while his family is out of town. We are very passionate about being able to provide a safe, appropriate place for pups to stay who experience behavior sensitivities.

Welcome, Roland!

Roland is with us for 2 weeks to learn all his basic skills, indoor manners, and socialization.

We absolutely adore rescues who are dedicated to training to prepare their pups for their forever homes. The primary reason for relinquishment is due to dogs presenting unwanted behaviors - training prior to placing is going to set them up for success and aid in a smooth transition from rescue to their forever! Roland is adoptable and will be ready for his forever home after his stay!
