We enjoy seeing progress that dogs make when it comes to their nail appointments with us and how each time, they become more comfortable with their paws being handled!
But there are also moments like these where the seemingly impossible becomes possible. Let me explain!
This is sweet Reign. Reign happens to be the little sister of our "poster child" Jax. When Reign was adopted at a very young age, she came with quite a bit of quirks and really no idea how to be a dog. Her mom gave her all the time she needed/continues to need to adjust to things that would typically be normal to most dogs. (If I listed everything, this post would be days long!). Reign is a special girl and here we are a few years later and some things are still weird to her.
After almost a year of joining Jax for nail shortenings, Reign finally decided it was time to hop on the table all by herself and mimic me laying on the table!
What may seem like a small victory to some, is a huge victory to others! We are so proud of Reign for being so brave!
One thing we will always do, is try. Things don't happen overnight. We have to remember it is always on their time and level of comfortability. But we will continue to show them love, care and compassion.
