Happy Friday! Dr. May spent his morning talking to students at Hartfield Academy about becoming a veterinarian. He talked about heartworm disease, bladder stones, arthritis, and botflies. We haven’t seen a botfly in awhile, but Dr. Ricchetti and Glorianne removed one from a kitty this afternoon.

Responsibilities include:
Assisting veterinarians with appointments and procedures
Administering medications and treatments
Monitoring anesthesia
Performing lab tests
Client education and communication
Maintaining a clean and organized hospital

Qualifications:
Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT) or equivalent experience
Strong technical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
