🎉 Celebrating Bella! 🐾💛

Meet Bella, a sweet 10-year-old retriever mix who has captured the hearts of our entire team. Over the past few months, Bella has been on a journey of healing, and we’re so happy to share that she has officially graduated from her radiation treatment and is feeling great! 🙌✨

Her journey began in April when Dr. Mullen performed surgery to remove a soft tissue sarcoma from her side. To help reduce the risk of the tumor returning, Dr. Merkle and her amazing team provided targeted radiation therapy after surgery.

Bella's story is a wonderful example of how collaboration across specialties helps us provide the best possible care.

Way to go, Bella! You’re a true inspiration. 🐶🎓

At the recent ACVIM Forum in Kentucky, these exceptional doctors were recognized during a special ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of new Diplomates who achieved Board-certification in 2024–2025. This formal induction marks a significant milestone in their professional journeys, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence in veterinary internal medicine.

Meet this Little Chonker, Echo! 🐶💨🍗

This sweet pupper came into our ER after a serious case of eating way too fast and aspirating food in the process. Confirmed snack overload! 🙈💥

Puppies just don’t know when to quit when food is involved, and this little snack monster went all in. Thankfully, our team jumped into action and gave her the care (and cuddles) she needed to recover. 🐾💕

We’re happy to report that she did great and is now back home, full of tail wags and belly rubs. 💖

🎉 Bella has officially graduated from her radiation treatments, and we couldn’t be more proud. Over the past few months, this sweet lady has completely stolen our hearts. 💛

She first came to us in April when Dr. Mullen removed a soft tissue sarcoma from her side. To help reduce the risk of the tumor returning, Dr. Merkle and her team provided follow-up radiation therapy.

We’re happy to share that Bella is feeling great and continuing to thrive. Moments like these highlight how much we value collaboration between specialties to give our patients the best possible care.

He just graduated from chemotherapy after battling a sarcoma in one of his kidneys, and he did it like a champ. 💪❤️

🎉🐾 Meet Beau, a two-time graduate and true warrior!

Beau was originally treated for a Multilobular Osteochondrosarcoma (MLO) of his jaw with surgery and radiation therapy. Later, he developed a metastatic disease and just finished his second round through Oncology like a champ.

Way to go, Beau! We're so proud of this strong, resilient pup 💚

Our contemporary practice, wonderful colleagues, and dedicated staff are looking forward to servicing the Tampa Metro area.

We are very proud of our state-of-the-art Specialty and Cancer Veterinary Center. We offer a wide range of medical services and life-enhancing care. Our mission is to be at the forefront of what veterinary medicine can provide to our four-legged family members and their owners.

This 8,000 sq. ft. facility holds five exam rooms, a full-service ICU, two surgery suites, a chemotherapy suite, a 16-slice helical CT, color flow ultrasonography, video endoscopy/bronchoscopy, digital radiography, and radiation therapy.
