Wesson's Rescue Wesson's Rescue was started when I adopted Wesson in 2011. My passion is helping animals! It is just me hands on helping the animals.

My name is Cassandra Parker and I run the Wesson's Rescue out of Brandon, MS. Right now my main goal is helping unchecked colonies of cats receive medical care, spay or neuter, and find new homes if possible. The number of cats in Mississippi who need homes, medical attention, and simple spay and neuter are in the hundreds of thousands. Please be nice to cats and do the best you can for them! Spay

and Neuter all of your pets but especially your cats that are hard to contain. They can become pregnant as early as 4 months old! Due to overpopulation in populated areas, community cats are treated unfairly because they are seen as a nuisance. Many of them die from disease and starvation due to unchecked populations. We are currently working on a colony in Canton, MS. This will take some time as there are approximately 30 cats that can not be returned to their birthplace. Their owner is an elderly woman in failing health. Her husband loved these cats and they loved him. But it was just not financially possibly for them to get medical treatment.
I would love to fulfill her wishes to find them loving homes. Or at the very least, safe places for them to go once they have been fixed. Please message us if you can provide a safe place for any of these kitties to go after their medical care

We have a new baby panther for adoption!

We rescued him out of a tree on the edge of our property a few nights ago!

He is about 4-5 months old and scheduled for his neuter and vaccines on March 27th!
He will be ready immediately after that!

Adoption fee is $50 and he will be sent with the dry food and a case of the canned food he is currently eating!

Tina Turner (formerly Tiana while in our rescue) was taken off the streets by a friend when she was seen desperately seeking attention from anyone passing by. She has such a lovey personality and it won over her new mama- who also happens to be a great client of mine. I love getting to see her new life and watch her grow up! #spayandneutermississippi #adoptakitten

On Merle's walk today in our front pasture. He gets tired easily (just an effect of living with heartworms) and we were taking a break :) I love his short little legs lol!

He's only on it if I'm sitting on the porch with them. These babies will make great family pets! I got their vouchers today so I hope to have them fixed by next week <3

Manny playing with Houdini kitten after his potential family didn't pan out. He just needed another animal to bring him out and keep him out of his shell. Sometimes shy dogs need a social butterfly to lead the way, and that is definitely what Houdini is :)

Cowboy is about 10lbs and about 3 months old by my estimate. He's a cute little thing and his markings and color is stunning! He's not up for adoption YET but if you are interested please let me know! By messaging this page!

Cabela will be getting spayed Thursday! I'm letting her live it up before she's put on strict crate rest for a week :) Tell all your friends the cutest rescued shepherd mix is almost 100% ready for a new home!!! <3
