ADOPTION: Congratulations to Ashley and Dad Peter on their adoption of "Frank", companion for "Frisky". While this was not an immediate match, there is potential. Frisky is a 5-yr old with no ferret exposure since she was a kit purchased in a pet store. The relationship will take time. The new owners are aware and are willing to put forth the effort to make it work.

We always accept the ferrets back with no questions asked. Adopting is virtually risk-free. They are always returnable. If the human is not happy, the animal is not going to be happy. Our interest is to ensure that all our animals are in a happy, loving home.

INTRODUCING: Welcome to "Emma" & "Big Boy", two new arrivals at the shelter. This female/male pair would be a great addition to any business. They have gotten along with the 8-10 other ferrets that we've socialized them with thus far. They are friendly and playful. Great fun! ❤️

INTRODUCING: Welcome to "Bun-Bun", a genetically mutated ferret. Just kidding. It's a little OT but this beautiful lady is looking for a new home. All the way from Virginia Beach, after Mom had to move into a non-pet friendly place.

What's wrong with landlords these days-? Charge a higher rent, increase the security deposit, charge a pet fee, ... whatever. Don't deny people the comfort and emotional support that a pet brings to their humans. Okay, I'm really OT. 😞

More ferrets arrived today, but I'm too tired to post tonight. Stand by!

ADOPTION: Congratulations to Isabella and Stone on their adoption of "Milton", companion for "Mila". We are thrilled with this pairing! Milton is such a sweet ferret, a perfect gentleman. Just what Mila needed after having been a single/sole ferret for 3 years. Milton gives her space and we are hopeful that they will be snuggling together very soon. Stay tuned! 💕

ADOPTION: Congratulations to Jennifer and Jayla on their adoption of "Sloan", companion for "Charlie". After several failed attempts to pair up Sloan with another, we were pleasantly surprised to find her grooming and snuggling up with Charlie. It was love at the first "lick, lick, nibble". 😄 💘

UPDATE: "Aloe" (M), "Vera" (F) & "Ziti Noodle" (F). These 3 are super playful and entertaining. They only eat raw meat and their continued diet is a strict requirement for adoption. We are happy to provide guidance for feeding and continued care.

UPDATE: "Benny" & "Jets" are a male/female pair of sables. They are playful and sweet. They also have learned how to use the cat wheel profficiently.

OH BOY, A NEW TOY! The ferrets don't seem to need instructions on how to use the cat exercise wheel. Our raccoons and foxes need guidance with a laser pointer to get them started, but the ferrets are quick learners. Best toy ever! 🤣

INTRODUCING: Welcome to "Bingo" & "Ratatouille", who just arrived from Raleigh, NC. We'll get some better pics after these boys have a chance to stretch their legs and use the potty. They were in the car for five hours with no accidents. Huh-? What ferret doesn't 💩 in five hours-??? 😂

We took this video of "Scooter" just before he left for his new home with Diana & Family. This boy is full of determination, love and life! We are anxious for future updates!

Do your fur babies enjoy the snow ❄️?

VOLUNTEERS: Today we had several volunteers helping out at the shelter, so we decided to have some extra fun. We discovered that our "Snow" enjoys the snow. ❄️

VOLUNTEER UPDATE: Our volunteer Leah brings her "son" to work with her. Meet "Kashmir". This big beautiful boy is a Leonberger. He is as massive as he is handsome. He is also amazingly gentle and tolerant of the shelter ferrets. He even tolerates "Sugar", who is not so sweet, relentlessly nipping at his ankles. 🐾

ADOPTION UPDATE: "Sirius" & "Remus", formerly "Toby" & "Swiper", were adopted to mama Liora more than 3 yrs ago. Still having fun, still tail wagging! 😄

NEW BOARDERS:. We are caring for "Goku" & "Baby Shark" this week. These two are so much fun! ❤️

"Kai" has mastered his moon dance routine. 😂

ADOPTION UPDATE: This is "Phineas", formerly known as "Rubert". OMG, so funny - I think he's stuck in the plant! LOL! 🤣

ADOPTION UPDATE: "George" (formerly "Biscuit") is another tail wagger, shown here sneak attacking his sister "Peanut". George found his furever home with Michelle back in Sept. ❤
