Toasty will be at the High Springs Farmers Market tonight from 3-7! She hangs out on our table and visits with customers 🤗

Toasty is a Malaysian serama, the breed originating from Malaysia within the past 50 years. This breed lays about 200 tiny eggs (compared to breeds like the Ameraucana, 250 eggs, and buff orpington, 160 eggs). They only need about a pound of food per month, making them a great cost saver. Other breeds need about 2 pounds of food a week. Toasty can live up to 10 years, so many years of scratching at the ground and traveling the markets.

This weekend we will be at High Springs Farmers Market on FRIDAY from 3-7pm

Saturday and Sunday we will be at Waldo Farmer's and Flea Market from 8am-4pm.

We sell local raw and infused honey from Suwannee county and the Florida region. We also host a few honeys from Oregon and Maine! If you can think it, we probably have it. Need something for spring allergies? We have the perfect local, raw honey for you. Want a honey for tea? Our infused lavender or elderberry might be what your looking for! If you want to check out our many varieties come to our table and we'll let you taste all of what we have.

This mornings walk around the property, showing Richie, our youngest intern, the potatoes we planted a few weeks ago, and the chickens! Couldn't collect any eggs yet as there were 2 girls adding some more to the mix.

Splittin kindling....

Splittin kindling.... A belated Christmas gift for Michael from his Mom. She saw this and thought Michael would enjoy how much easier it is for him to split kindling for fires in the woodstove for those cold days in North Florida. I'm pretty sure it was a hit, and wow is it easier the the hammer and hatchet approach...LOL

Cool surprise!

What a cool surprise! Not broody anymore! Doing morning chores this morning and went to check on our lone broody chicken...What a cool surprise to see that her 2 eggs that she has been sitting on had hatched. #babychickens We have had chickens for roughly over 15 years, but this has been the first time where we have been able to have a rooster and a hen was able to be broody, sitting on her eggs.
