Mystery Animal Monday Reveal!

Say hello to the Giant African Millipede! This incredible invertebrate is one of the largest millipedes in the world, growing up to 12 inches long and having as many as 400 legs! Despite their many legs, they move slowly and gracefully, using a wave-like motion to glide across the forest floor. These gentle decomposers play a vital role in their ecosystem by breaking down plant matter and returning nutrients to the soil. When threatened, they can curl up into a tight spiral for protection or release a harmless, but smelly, defensive secretion.

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Branson's Wild World! Today’s a great day to paws for freedom, shell-ebrate the stars and stripes, and enjoy a little wild fun with your favorite animals. We’re open and ready to help you spark some smiles.

Mystery Animal Monday Reveal: Say hello to Savannah the Loggerhead Sea Turtle.

Savannah is part of a species known for its long-distance migrations, powerful jaws, and ancient lineage stretching back over 100 million years. Their large heads and strong jaws make it easy for them to crush hard-shelled prey like crabs and mollusks, and they play an important role in keeping marine ecosystems balanced.

Savannah is a favorite among visitors, and we’re thrilled so many of you guessed her correctly. Great job to everyone who participated!
