I now have:
-My DBA (business certificate)
-Business checking & savings accounts
-Federal EIN number
-New York State sales tax certificate (because pets are considered a possession and are therefore a taxable service)

I’ve been to business meetings and have an insurance policy set up, I just have to call tomorrow and give them my new bank card number. 💳💸

It doesn’t get anymore official than that folks. 😎🥳👏🏼

Taste tested yesterday and I passed with flying colors. 😅

I’ve always been a firm believer that if you get bit by a dog, it is MOST likely your fault. (I know I know, there’s an exception to every rule.) But in this case I definitely could have prevented it.

I don’t get to express my feelings on this issue as often as I’d like, so I want to use this experience to explain that dogs DON’T bite for no reason, they don’t bite out of nowhere, we as humans frequently miss the signs.

For context, I was watching 4 large, intact (meaning they are not fixed, for anyone who isn’t familiar with the term!) male dogs, 3 of them got in a brawl, I jumped in to break it up and the 4th one bit me.

My brother compared it to trying to break up a street fight and getting punched in the face. Accidents happen. 🤧

People are so quick to demonize a dog for biting somebody instead of trying to figure out the dog’s mindset behind the bite. The way I personally read the situation is he was trying to pull me away from the scuffle because he didn’t want me to get hurt (haha). When dogs are trying to protect their puppies from danger they’ll bite them and pull them away. It’s normal dog behavior, we just have paper thin baby-skin. 🥴

Last and final note: if you have a difficult dog I’m the one for ‘em! I will never even suggest euthanizing a dog because they bit me, period. I came back to these guys again today and had zero issues. What did I learn? Don’t have all 4 out of their kennels at once. Now I know and we can proceed appropriately! Gonna have to try a LOT harder than that to get rid of me. 😂

UPDATE: Sorry folks, we had a run on these and are currently out. If you picked up a shelter on Saturday, we have packages of straw available that was supposed to go with the shelter. Stop by during business hours to pick one up.

If you have a big heart for strays like I do, here’s a quick and easy shelter you can throw anywhere on your property! Or if you’re feeling like a Good Samaritan, somewhere discreet near apartment complexes or abandoned buildings! 🏡🏘️🏚️🏕️
Friendly reminder to use straw and not blankets because blankets will get wet and freeze, causing hypothermia! ❄️❕
You can find styrofoam insulation for relatively cheap at your local Walmart, Lowe’s, or Home Depot! 🛠️🪤💛

I found this video on TikTok, this is NOT my video but I thought this was a great idea and had to share!! ✨ #CoyoteVest can be used on small dogs to help protect them against attacks from larger animals! Typical Friday afternoon at the office 🤓🎾🦮🦮 I hope everyone gets to enjoy the weather as much as we are! 😁🌞

‼️ I managed to catch a teaching moment on camera and wanted to share it with all of you for educational purposes! 😁‼️ There’s a specific behavior among dogs that’s called “correcting”. Correcting is basically one dog teaching another dog to mind their manners. This behavior can be seen in adult dogs but is more common in an adult dog/ puppy dynamic! 🐕 As you can see, the adult dog doesn’t bite the puppy, he doesn’t attack him, he just snarls and pushes him away! He’s warning him that he needs to stop. It’s a completely normal behavior and there’s no need to intervene if you see it, someone’s just learning to be polite! 😁 Jeffrey is a VERY good big brother. 🥰
