Good morning friends,
Since Thursday afternoon of last week, we've experienced both phone and internet issues. We were told a company cut lines, and as of last Saturday, it would be 48 hours to be repaired. Now, a week later, we're still not able to call out or have clients call in. Clients do not hear this on their end (as far as I can tell).
I know we're not the only ones, and some businesses can be extremely impacted by this disruption. We've estimated as much as $80,000 due to the decrease in our average new client count. Please help with the following:
1. Share this. We have around 5,000 active clients in our system, and not all of them follow the page.
2. Use our email address, [email protected], and our clinic's messenger page to reach the clinic. We are monitoring both closely.
3. Please let me know other businesses who have been impacted due to this outage. Have them send me an email at [email protected]
4. Be patient with us as we try to do as much as we can with the limited service capabilities.
Cats can enjoy chewing just like dogs! The chewing behavior is great for reducing tartar buildup and maintaining healthy teeth!

To the client who cornered my staff member in the Kroger parking lot, cussed her out about our current curbside policy, and threatened her: As soon as we determine who you are, we will happily notify you that we are discontinuing our relationship, send your pet's records, and wish you well in finding a new veterinarian.
Dear friends and community,
I have been in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic fight since the beginning. I have been activated and serving our community and the State in my military capacity. I am a public health officer and am very well versed in what protocols have been recommended from the CDC/federal level down through State and local requirements. I also understand and can empathize with the stress, frustration, inconvenience, and freedom/liberty robbing attributes COVID-19 has caused everyone. I alone have established and will maintain the policies regarding the safety and security of my team, our patients, and our clients. If issues need to be addressed, they will only be addressed by me. Email me at [email protected].
I cannot believe I actually have to say this in our community. Disrespect, yelling at, cursing at, or any other inappropriate and child-like behaviors towards anyone on my team will NOT be tolerated. If you believe you will be unable to follow this policy, please let us know and we will send you a copy of your pet's records and discontinue our relationship.
Every industry is short-staffed and overworked, and veterinary hospitals are no different. Our team has suffered losses: a doctor who is serving, a reduced number of staff members, and the loss of 4 veterinary clinics in the area since our inception. We are currently doing the work of 4-5 hospitals with less help. Through all of this, we continue to take new clients when others do not. It's because we care, we believe in our motto that, "Blessings come from four loving paws..."
Our team fights like hell every day to keep spirits up, the experience you have grown
This is an example of what ear mites look like under the microscope! Ear mites are a common issue for young kitties (occasionally older cats and dogs as well) that can cause them to scratch or dig at their ears. There can be many different reasons for your pet scratching at their ears or shaking their head so it's important to take them to the vet for proper treatment, because the only way to properly diagnose an ear issue is with an ear cytology.
DO NOT mess around with parasite preventatives! Follow the label instructions and do not try to split doses between pets or put cat products on dogs... It will likely cost! In this case the cost was 100 times more than the dose of prevention. Although an accident by giving 2 cats a dog product, the owner still split the dose (thinking it was a cat preventative) between the 2. Both of them spent time in the hospital.
Applying topical flea prevention on cats is different than on dogs. Cats can actually get to the typical "between the shoulder blades" spot. As you can see in the video, our clinic cat MJ can easily reach the mayonaise we applied there (used to highlight a "topical"). It is important to apply topical flea prevention at the base of the skull to prevent kitties from ingesting it and causing severe health complications.
CAUTION - if you have a weak constitution do NOT watch this video... Tapeworms come from the ingestion of fleas. We have seen a HUGE increase in flea cases since the weather is getting cooler and the fleas are looking for ways to get to warm spots for winter... We expect to see an increase in the cases like this. If you haven't seen what tapeworms look like here they are!
Imagine you are a singer and that you accompany yourself on the piano. You have a small dog who is your constant companion
and he watches as you rehearse.
Now, imagine that you must be away for a few hours and you leave the dog alone at home.
You can't figure out what causes the neighbors to complain while you are away, so you set up a nanny-cam.
