I lost my job recently and then my husband passed away 2 wks later. I am doing everything I can to continue to help those in need. I am slowly getting things in order. Dear Friends of Fur Babies,
We are in need of donations. Due to COVID we are experiencing a great loss of community support. We are a remote, small operation, but many people depend on us. With your help we can continue to serve not only our community but those in need of our rescue services throughout Texas.
Items that would be very helpful to us at the moment are old towels, old sheets, paper towels, and puppy pads.
We gladly accept resale items for our sanctuary garage sales, (receipts provided), and are willing to pick up if necessary.

This dog needs a home. His name is Jax. He is 9 months old, not neutered but has his shots. The family who owned him moved and left him. Took this guy in some time ago. People across town moved and left him. He is an older dog. The poor neighbor lady who had already taken numerous dogs from them that had not been cared for called me. It took him a long time to trust me. He was actually traumatized. His name is Snowy. He is a bit of a loner and a bit of a biter at times. I know how to deal with him. He is not adoptable, but he loves my little white terrier, Isabelle and Oscar the Chiweenie. He sure likes digging up my backyard!

Here is my elusive outdoor cat, Graydie. He showed up out of the blue, most likely dumped out. I have tried to trap him numerous times with a conventional trap but he is too smart. I now have a drop trap set up hoping to capture him. He needs to be neutered, shots, wormed and flea treatment. I am just now able to barely pet him. I could tell he had not been an outdoor cat when he came to me. He lives in the garage. Soon he will be an indoor cat.

I bottle-fed these kittens from newborns. Their eyes were not open. A lady drove from East Texas to here and found two on the grass by her RV. She could not figure out where they came from. They had been without the mother for a couple of days. I fed them immediately and they really took to the bottle. I was concerned they were too weak but they drank quite a bit. As I was leaving she called me back, realizing they had been up under the bottom panel of the RV and found another. I left, and then went back a third time to offer her a tarp for her dog pen and we heard another kitten. We crawled up under the RV again, and found a final kitten. Of the four, unfortunately the runt did not make it. I had my doubts any of them would, but I faithfully fed them every 2 hours and kept them warm. I named them after the characters in the play "Cats". Electra, Victoria, and Cassandra. They had a rough start, but are doing great now. It was a miracle the three survived.

I think my sister may be taking DJ, the kitten found at the construction site. He is a she and is older now. She had a terrible Staph infection on her legs. I took her to the vet and with good care she made it! My sister has a big house in Alabama with five other cats. She will have a great life.

The dogs on either side need good homes. Their owner can no longer care for them. The one in the middle found a good home. Father and son. Would like to see them get adopted together since they have been for so long. Father is Buck (on right) a Red Heeler mix who is up to date on shots, but not neutered. Heartworm medicine started later on, so should be tested. He is about 10 years old. The son "Eeyore" (on left) is a Heeler Boxer mix is neutered and has been on Heartworm medicine from a pup. He is also up to date on shots and is about 4 years old. They really need a safe place to run and somebody who can show them love. If interested please call me. 979-798-2893

This little girl needs a home. She is not very old. The lady who is taking care of her said she will help to spay her. The neighbors moved and left her. She is part hound and part Rottie. She is a very sweet dog.

Got this kid in around the same time as Hans. His owner passed away and he was going to be shot. Yes shot. Couldn't let that happen. He is crazy as all get out. He looks part Pug, but he also looks like a Border Terrier which is what I think he is. He loves to play with tennis balls and he catches them in mid air. He is so happy now. His name is Bugsy. He likes playing in mud puddles. Living the life!

Got this little guy in a couple of weeks ago. He was walking in the middle of the highway in a storm. The lady who picked him up said he collapsed into her lap. He is about 10-12 years old. He had an extremely severe ear infection and his skin was in terrible shape. I took him to the vet and he is like a new dog. His name is Hans. Now he runs and plays with the other dogs. Someone abandoned him. Older small dogs with health problems like this usually do not escape from a home. I take him out and when he is ready to come back in, he waits by the door for me to bring him in. His best friend is Oscar a Chiweenie that I took in who was dumped out as well. He's living the life of Riley now!

This little guy needs a good home. He will need his last booster shot and will need to be neutered. His name is Oso (Spanish for bear). His owners can no longer keep him. He has been dewormed, had flea treatment, and has had his bordetella and first two parvo/distemper shots. He would make a wonderful family pet. He is a great dog. Tough to feed a kitten with one hand and take a picture with the other! He is doing great. I named him DJ as in Donald J. Trump. He defied all the odds and he is a fighter!

He is eating good which is a plus. Instead of using heating pads, they make discs now that can be heated in the microwave and placed under bedding to keep kittens warm. I have a bunch of those blue cat cuddle pals too. They can be heated in microwave as well and work great. The heat in the discs lasts for about 8 hours. If any kitten rescuers need help or info please let me know.

Riley is finally in his new fantastic home! Here is in his condo. He has adjusted quickly to his new friends which include two small dogs, 4 puppies, a cat (Miss Kitty) and a parakeet. He has a great new family.

Got this kid in last week. He came out of the bushes crying and starving at Jack in the Box. He is really a character. He is going to be a real lap cat. He wants to play all the time and loves attention. I want to get his immunity built up and get him fixed before I find him a home, but if interested please let me know. He is a silver tabby, just beautiful.

These two dogs need to be re-homed. Long-haired one is Roxy and the sleek black one is Emma. The owner can no longer keep them. She rescued these dogs and has others. Emma is a one-year-old female. Current on shots, not spayed. Good with young kids, other dogs and cats. Is very loving, playful and full of life. Kennel and house trained. Needs a good home where she has plenty of room to run. She's a lab/dane mix. Roxy is a three-year-old collie mix. She's house trained and kennel trained. Loves people, and is ok with kids. Sometimes younger kids tend to make her antsy. She is not current on shots but is spayed. She's good with other dogs and cats. When she's inside she's lazy and just finds somewhere to curl up and sleep. When she's outside she's a ball of energy. This cat needs a home. She is spayed and declawed. Her owners moved and left her. Nice huh? I am taking her to the vet Thursday to get her tested and get her shots. Rescued these two Bettas from PetSmart! They were in little tiny tubs. I couldn't stand it. Flame and Aqua are their names. I just love them. Have had them for some time. I rescue anything. I sure hope I don't find an elephant wandering around Brazoria!

Rescued this little guy from a local company. He was in the bushes blind with mites from sarcoptic mange and starving. It took quite a few medicated baths and a few doses of topical solution to get him mite free. He just got neutered and got his shots and is doing great. I got him just in time. He would have died a horrible death. I feel really great about this rescue.
