Consistent Canine Training Becky - the Dog Trainer Becky graduated from Cleveland State University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Business Administration.

Offers in-home dog training where Becky comes to your home and help you train your dog that includes basic obedience, advanced obedience, and behavioral issues. Becky has always loved animals and while she was attending college she realized that dog training was the career path she wanted to take. In February 2008 she moved to Austin, TX for 4 months to attend Triple Crown Dog Training Academy whi

ch is now called Starmark Academy. While Becky attended Triple Crown, she worked with her dog Sadie (the Puggle) and other dogs to learn dog training and behavior. Two of the dogs she trained were Mickey, a Doberman Pinscher and Short Stop, a Basset Lab mix. Becky has been dog training since 2008 and continues to stay up to date on new training techniques that can help owners and dogs enjoy their life together to the fullest.

CCT's first dog walking client is Asher! We have done two 30 min walks together and they have been great! Her owners have worked with her a lot and when I walk her we continue to work on walking nicely on a leash. We also work on sit at the door before we leave the house and when we come home.

Consistent Canine Training is excited to announce that we will be offering a dog walking service! The dog walking service will consist of dog walking for 15 or 30 minutes or drop in visits which include letting your dog out, playing with them, feeding and giving water if needed. You can add on extras to the service which include training, a second dog charge, and giving medications. There will be a required initial visit which will be a meet and greet with the owner and dog to go over what the owner would like and to show the dog walker where everything is. What a beautiful fall we are having! I'm sorry for not offering doggie socials this summer but I would like to offer one this Friday, November 8 at 3:00pm. If you are interested in attending, please email, call, or text to reserve a spot. The cost of the social is $15.00 per dog and can be paid by cash, check, or Venmo. There is also a doggie social waiver that will need to be filled out prior to the doggie social. If you have attended a social in the past, your waiver is still good!

How cute is Asher! She is a silver lab who loves to run around outside. She is the sweetest dog with a great temperament. I started helping her family train her when she was 10 weeks old and she has come a long way. She is eager to learn and loves to please. We are now working on 🆕 jumping for greetings at Hollywood feed and leash walking in areas that are distracting.

Meet Zoey! She is a husky mix who is so sweet! Her family has been working with her from the start and she is becoming a very well trained dog! We started working at the house with basic commands and now we are working at Hollywood feed to work on greetings, distractions and leash walking in busy areas.

I decided to experiment with new training equipment this week. I bought a gentle leader to try on my puggle who pulls a lot even with the front hook harness on. The gentle leader is the one that goes around their muzzle. I will say she does not like it around her muzzle but it does work great and controls her better. In the video below I have Tucker on the front hook harness and Callie on the gentle leader. I will post another video soon explaining the gentle leader better. This video was a quick one while we were walking in the metro parks.

Happy New Year from Consistent Canine Training! I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! Sign up for the next round of group classes is starting today! I will be holding a basic obedience group class starting Wednesday, January 31st at 6:00 located at the Brecksville UMC. I will also be holding an advanced obedience class starting the same day, Wednesday, January 31st at 7:00pm. This class will focus on the Canine Good Citizen testing requirements. Here are some videos from Wednesday night's group class. The videos are the dogs and their owners working on sit stay, down stay, and place stay. They all did a great job. We are working on the stays in a circle to add more distractions!

The class working on place stay in a circle. Putting the dogs in a circle makes it harder for them with the distraction of the other dogs closer to them. This was hard for them but they all did a great job!

Here are some pictures and a video from the Thursday evening group class. This class is awesome! Everyone is working really well with their dogs and these dogs get along great! They love their playtime before and after class and are working really well around their classmates. Two more classes left till graduation for this group! The next class starts May 25th!
