Since Gus Gus and Saucy (aka Cruella) got to go to puppy class yesterday, Sadie was the lucky puppy to attend her first softball game this evening.

The girls are having fun playing crate games. I remembered on the next dog to be consistent with my bridge. And I need to resist repeating the request and and give her more time. It helps when I use the clicker. But Gus Gus didn’t care. She picked up on what I wanted without any problem. Such smarties!

Just doing a photo drop in our file of sable and white Gussy. She’ll be 11 weeks old tomorrow, and is looking for a loving family interested in showing her for fun in AKC conformation and/or performance events. She’s a sweetheart who loves belly rubs, is super smart and has potential at this time in the ring. Anyone who adds her to their home could join the Cleveland Collie Club and get support and guidance in showing and grooming. Most of all she deserves a family or partner to love and cuddle her. We had a great day at the Cleveland Collie Club’s Puppy Match and Sweepstakes. I’m counting on our babies’ exuberance getting fine tuned into happy show dog performance in the future. Thanks to Katie Rendina and Rosy, as well as Jim Eppley who graciously took our puppies in the ring today. Thanks to Jim, Annette and Laura for hosting such a fun event. Quote of the day,”Puppies shouldn’t bite the judge.” 😳

All of our puppies excelled in the agility evaluations as well as the herding instinct eval with ducks. These two almost 8 week old sweethearts (Snickerdoodle - right) and and Mama Coco (left)are available and would make fantastic agility trainees. They both did well in our scent tracking activities, are sitting when I have their treats in my hand and they see that I am asking for it, and make it outside to potty well over 50% of the time through a doggy door. I can’t bear to part with them, but we must. Message us please for more information and complete the Google form of interest pinned to the top of the page.

I am so thankful to have great friends who have supported us amazingly over the last 7 weeks. What a fun day we had with agility evaluations and a quick walk in the woods.🥰 Mama Coco is the one in the lead as we head out of the woods who then comes back in when Cathy calls them.

7 weeks old today! They are becoming little dogs. Time to reserve them if you are sure you want one. Placements will be decided next week and pups will start going home on Sept 2. Feel free to PM me for the details and to review the contracts.

Great play session. All the puppies understand that Skye is boss and act accordingly. Brickle Belle got a few extra lessons from Skye early on, so she is a little slower to venture away from my feet. I love how they are learning the collie play language. Mama Coco is on the right with a break in her white collar on the left side.

At 6 wks and 5 days old the Disney puppies found treats on a hammock bed, had a little food related activity to prevent resource guarding in the future (not pictured) and a had go at the grooming table. They are becoming little dogs.

We put a tarp over an exercise pen to see if we needed to work with any of the puppies (now 6.5 wks old) who might be fearful of new things. We were thrilled that every one of the pups was ready to take it on. Zero fear! Mama Coco is in the back.

We have been busy cleaning up the mess from the tornado that came through and were out of power. We still found time yesterday to do a scent tracking activity with the pups. This is one of the five. I stepped in the middle of the ex pen to spread my scent inside the golf tee circle. Then I put treats down inside the space bordered by the tees. The puppy was placed in the circle. The goal was for her to find the treats and eat them. She also would have connected my scent to the treats. If the puppy left the circle we were hoping to see them turn back into it.

Here’s a photo dump from last night, the puppies’ 6 week birthday, and this morning. I love how they army crawl all around the room to find a comfortable spot to sleep. Lucky me, this morning they ended up together, so I got a picture of all the cutie petuties. Mama Skye has been regurgitating her food to feed them, so she is outside of the puppy pen. She can still hear and see them, and gets in to inspect the space when they are asleep.

All five pups and Mama Skye visited Dr Kontur today. The babies got their first vaccination and everyone got worm medicine. The trip in the car was a first for the wee ones, but they were champs. When they got home they slept a little. I was lucky to capture this active moment before bed.

The 7week old rough collie pups had fun splashing in the pool today. Interested? Message us please. We will have 4 to place and will complete evaluations early next week. We know that we will have 2 to go to cuddly pet homes for sure. All are good with children and other dogs.

Such a good, respectful interaction with both Gus Gus and Cru. Other pups had the same experience, but are not pictured.
