🎉🐾 My heart is truly full, Critter Crew. 🐾🎉

Crazy for Critters has been chosen and recognized as a Best of Georgia 2025 Regional Winner in Pet Sitting & Dog Boarding — and all I feel is gratitude. Deep, humble gratitude. 🩵

When I started CFC four years ago, I never set out to build a business. I just wanted to help support my family while still being fully present for my children. I’ve loved animals since I was little, and my sister is the one who opened my eyes to professional pet sitting 8 years ago. She taught me so much in those early years, and without her, none of this would have been a thought in my mind.

That first year as CFC doing everything alone came with a lot of learning curves — long days, late nights, weekends, holidays — but it also came with purpose. Being able to work while still showing up for my kids on sick days, appointments, and school moments was something I never imagined could exist. It’s been one of the biggest blessings of my life.

Over time, God placed the right people beside me. Our team is small, but they truly care. Not only do we work together — slowly, we’ve become each other’s village. Yes, it took trial and error to get here, but we respect one another, we support one another, and dare I say… we may love each other for exactly who we are. That kind of bond isn’t found in most workplaces, and I don’t take it lightly.

Watching Polly and Desiree fall in love with this work, just like I did when I first learned from my sister, makes me so grateful. They care so deeply for animals, and they still get to be there for their children — and sharing that blessing with them is something I don’t take for granted.

The 4th of July holiday is one of our busiest seasons each year — and this summer our team will have reduced availability due to pre-scheduled commitments. If you know you’ll need pet care, please book early!

🇺🇸 Important Scheduling Notes:

🐾 Polly will be on vacation during the holiday week.
🐾 Brooke is booked for overnights from July 1st–11th and is unavailable from 5pm to 7am daily.
🐾 Jimmy works 6am–4pm Monday–Friday.
🐾 Desiree will be filling in for Polly, but availability will still be limited.
🐾 Overall limited availability from June 28th–July 13th.
🐾 All services will be first-come, first-served.

💥 Holiday & School Break Cancellation Policy Reminder:
Cancellations for holiday and school break periods must be made no later than 14 days prior to the start of your scheduled care to avoid full charges. This helps us honor our sitter commitments and ensure fairness for all clients during high-demand times.

Booking early and keeping your schedule accurate helps us provide every pet with the reliable, loving care they deserve — even during the busiest weeks of the year! 🩵🐶🐱

We hope your holiday is filled with love, laughter, and full bellies! As you celebrate with family and friends, please remember to keep your pets safe by avoiding these common Thanksgiving foods that can be harmful to them:

🚫 Foods Pets Should NOT Eat:
• Turkey bones (splintering hazard)
• Ham & fatty meats (can cause pancreatitis)
• Turkey skin & drippings
• Stuffing (often contains onion/garlic)
• Onions, garlic, leeks, chives (toxic to dogs & cats)
• Grapes & raisins (can cause kidney failure)
• Chocolate (highly toxic)
• Alcohol of any kind
• Yeast dough (can expand in stomach)
• Macadamia nuts
• Casseroles with spices & seasonings
• Pumpkin pie (plain pumpkin is okay—pie is not)
• Xylitol-sweetened treats (found in sugar-free foods)

If you think your pet may have eaten something they shouldn’t have, call your local 24/7 veterinary hospital or the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline at (888) 426-4435.

🕒 Crazy for Critters – Hours of Operation for Drop-In Visits

We proudly offer pet care 365 days a year, including weekends and all major holidays!

📅 Weekend & School Break Hours

7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

🏫 School-Year Hours (M–F)

7:45 AM – 9:00 PM

During the school year, our morning availability begins at 7:45 AM.
All CFC team members are parents, and we must take our children to school before starting our visits. Bremen City Schools do not provide transportation, and the earliest drop-off time is 7:30 AM.

In the afternoons, we begin navigating car rider lines as early as 1:30 PM to ensure we arrive to our 4:00 PM visits on time, especially with school traffic. Our children are dismissed at 1:45 PM and 3:00 PM, which directly impacts how our schedule is structured.

As a family-operated business, we take the responsibility of caring for your pets just as seriously as we take raising our own children.
Their safety, comfort, and routine matter to us — and we’re grateful you trust us with such an important part of your family.

🗂 CFC Office Hours (Phone/Text/Portal Responses)

These hours reflect when the office line is staffed for communication:
• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

If you message outside these hours, we will respond the following business day unless it is an urgent issue regarding a pet currently in our care.

Haralson County is currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the next 24 hours. With the potential for heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds, we will be adjusting our visit procedures to keep both your pets and our sitters safe.

🌧️ During periods of heavy rain or lightning:
• All scheduled visits will be conducted primarily indoors.
• Your pups will be taken outside briefly and safely throughout their visit for potty breaks.
• We will not keep pets outdoors in unsafe weather conditions under any circumstances.
• Safety is our top priority—for your animals and for our team.

TeddyBear is out here sprinting full-speed with his pumpkin toy like he’s training for the Turkey Day Olympics 🦃🎃 — and Buddy is trotting right behind him looking like the responsible big brother making sure his buddy doesn’t get into too much trouble. 😂❤️

Yesterday our Critter Crew took a much-needed pause from the leashes, litter scoops, kibble bags, and kitty cuddles to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving potluck together — and y’all, my heart is still full.

Our team pours their hearts into caring for your pets year-round, and moments like this remind me just how thankful I am for the amazing people who make Crazy for Critters what it is.

From early-morning visits to late-night potty breaks… from muddy paws to horse snuggles… from medication care to loving on your fur babies like our own — this team shows up every single day with kindness, dedication, and integrity. 💛

Yesterday was all about slowing down, sharing a meal, laughing together, and soaking in the blessing of having such a supportive, hard-working, compassionate group of people by my side.

We had the best time this morning cutting up with two of our favorite “big puppy dogs” — Cutter and Applejack. 😍

These two may be horses, but don’t let that fool you…
They’ll follow you around for love, lean in for hugs, wiggle their lips for attention, and absolutely insist on being the center of every selfie. 😂💛

Greyson and I soaked up the sunshine, gave plenty of scratches, and got smothered in horsey kisses (the sweetest kind). Applejack even tried to sneak her nose into every picture like the little ham she is!

Days like this are why we love what we do.
From tiny pets to gentle giants — every critter is family. 🐾💙
