APA Lost & Found Pets The APA is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people and pets together. The APA has a mandatory stray hold. Let's treat everyone with respect.

With the opening of our second location, APA Olivette, we have been experiencing an increase in stray pets brought to the shelters. Help us reunite these pets with their families and make space in both of our shelters, APA Brentwood and APA Olivette. Be Kind and Courteous

Mercury was stolen from his owner three months ago. Thanks to the quick response of St. Louis County Animal Control and a concerned neighbor who reported a dog being tied on a very short tether outdoors, Mercury was rescued.

After 1.5 hours of the APA team investigating, we were able to reunite Mercury with his family with the help of his microchip. 🐾

In 2024, APA achieved a 47% return-to-owner rate for dogs—far above the national average of just 16%. Stories like Mercury’s highlight the importance of microchipping and keeping your pet’s info up-to-date.
