After some coaxing we finally got Bubba in the trailer! I normally do not like to use food with loading but we tried everything else and he gets worse with added pressure, after we let him calm down and got his bucket he half loaded quite a few times! Now the plan is to feed him his bucket in the trailer to associate the trailer with lunch and he will feel more comfortable & hauling before we know it!

Emily got Bubba ready 100% all by herself today! She haltered him, lunged him, picked his feet, saddled him, (ok I helped bridle him but only because a horse got loose and he was being a giraffe) AND she trotted all by herself on him!!! She was much more confident I am so proud! Go Em!

Sophie’s first time riding by herself was last week, (she’s only 4) and she did great! I love my job and I love what I do! What a joy it is to work with young kids and my horses everyday!

Alison joined the real cowgirls club a couple weeks ago after she fell off Sparky, she was a little nervous after that but did much better trotting by herself this time!

Meet Maggs aka Magnesium. He is a beautiful black TB in training. He has made progress already! He was rearing out of his stall the first two times being taken out, no more rearing and we got him to pick up all his feet while standing. There is still a lot of work to be done, but he shows so much potential! Black beauty!
This is Tanner, a beautiful buckskin we are working on getting sound again. After some conversations Tanner finally walked nicely with the surcingle on! Next time we will attach the reins. Horse training should always be taken safely and effectively for each horse, they are all different and require different training methods. Tanner will progress at his own pace, can’t wait to see his progress in a month! :)
