We take in a fair number of dogs in really poor condition. This dog, Jessie, came to us having been left to die in a state forest. She was emaciated and in terrible condition on arrival, and she was also heartworm positive and had a tumor (benign) on her eye. She is now healthy and ready to go home.

Jessie is a 5 year old, 75 pound bluetick coonhound. This is not our normal kind of dog, but she is extremely sweet and loves everyone. Jessie is great with people over the age of 8 and she is great with dogs. She is not great with cats or small woodland creatures.

Jessie is a friendly, social and active dog. She needs a home that loves hounds and their little quirks. This is not an apartment dog nor a dog for a lazy person. She needs a home with a fenced yard and preferably a dog friend or two.

Jessie is in Nashville and can travel where we do. Interested adopters should email [email protected]. Spread the word for her, please.
