When the air quality is poor, the best way to protect your pet is to limit their exposure by staying indoors, keeping windows and doors closed and limiting outdoor time to only bathroom breaks. It is best to avoid exercise like running or hiking until the air quality has improved. Consider using air purifiers or filters.

What Symptoms should I look for?
The most common signs or exposure may be irritation to the throat, nose and eyes, making them red or watery. It can cause coughing, gagging, a fast-respiratory rate even when they are at rest, or difficulty breathing.
